🍝✨ A Taste of Italy at Forthland Lodge ✨🍝

To round off our fantastic Italian Themed Day, our talented chef treated residents to a delicious selection of authentic Italian dishes, and what a treat it was!

The dining room was filled with the wonderful essence of freshly prepared dishes as beautifully presented plates were served, inspired by classic Italian cuisine. From rich, comforting favourites to lighter Mediterranean flavours, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Residents loved sampling the menu, sharing their thoughts, and making the most of the experience, with plenty of smiles and empty plates all around 😊🍽️

A big thank you to our chef for bringing a true taste of Italy to Forthland Lodge, perfectly rounding off a day full of pasta-making, creativity and laughter

✨ Italian Themed Day at Forthland Lodge ✨

Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating all things Italian this week with a hands-on pasta making session 🍝💛

Rolling up their sleeves, everyone got involved in creating their very own homemade pasta, with plenty of flour, laughter, and smiles along the way

There was such a lovely atmosphere as residents kneaded, rolled, and shaped their creations. The activity brought back fond memories of cooking with family and favourite meals shared over the years

The finished pasta looked absolutely fantastic, a huge well done to everyone for embracing the Italian spirit with such enthusiasm and joy 🌟

Days like these are all about making memories, sharing laughter, and enjoying time together

🏡✨ A Creative Project Full of Charm at Forthland Lodge ✨🏡

Our residents have been busy bringing a beautiful dolls’ house to life, and what a joy it has been to see! From choosing colours to adding the tiniest of details, every step of the makeover has been filled with creativity, laughter and shared moments.

This lovely project has an extra special purpose too… once complete, the dolls’ house will be auctioned at our upcoming Summer Fayre, to help raise funds for our Residents’ Fund. This supports meaningful activities, treats and outings throughout the year, something that truly adds even more joy to daily life.

It’s wonderful to see everyone, residents and colleagues alike, coming together to create something so special for a great cause 💛

🍋 When life gives you lemons… we make something extra special at Forthland Lodge! 🍋

Our residents had a wonderfully zesty time getting hands-on, squeezing, stirring and perfecting their very own lemonade recipe. The home was filled with the fresh, uplifting fragrance of lemons, creating such a lovely atmosphere for everyone to enjoy

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and teamwork along the way, with each step adding to the fun. And of course, the finished result was the perfect refreshing treat for a sunny afternoon 💫

🍽️✨ Come Dine With Me at Forthland Lodge ✨🍽️

Our residents stepped into the role of food critics as we hosted our very own Come Dine With Me tasting session

Everyone had the chance to sample a range of delicious new dishes being considered for our upcoming menu, and, of course, score each one out of 3 ⭐️

There was plenty of laughter, thoughtful tasting, and some wonderfully honest judging around the table. A few dishes were instant favourites, while others sparked some lively discussion, all part of the fun!

Moments like these truly highlight how important it is for residents to be involved in shaping daily life within our home. It’s fantastic to see such enthusiasm and teamwork in action

A huge thank you to our talented kitchen team for the fantastic spread, and to our wonderful residents for making it such an enjoyable experience 👏

💇‍♀️🎈 Crazy Hair Day at Forthland Lodge! 🎈💇‍♂️

We’re getting ready for a fun‑filled Crazy Hair Day on Wednesday, 27th May, a chance to get creative, go bold, and enjoy a few laughs together 🌈

Residents are invited to take part by trying out fun and imaginative hairstyles, enjoying plenty of smiles along the way, and celebrating self‑expression in a relaxed and supportive environment

From colourful curls to playful designs, it’s all about having fun and enjoying the moment 🎉

Our colleagues will be on hand to support everyone and make sure the day is inclusive, comfortable, and full of joy

Wacky hair, wonderful smiles, and a brilliant day to look forward to!

🌼✨ Join Us at the Leith Festival! ✨🌼

Forthland Lodge is delighted to be part of the Leith Festival this year! 🎉

Come along and visit our tombola stall on Saturday 13th June, from 10am–5pm at Leith Links. There’s something for everyone, including live music, entertainment, food, games and stalls, it’s set to be a fantastic day for the whole community!

We would be so grateful for any prize donations to help support our Residents’ Fund. If you would like to contribute, please drop items into the home by 5th June, every donation makes a difference 💙🎁

We would also love the support of our amazing colleagues. If you’re able to, please sign up to volunteer at the stall and be part of the fun on the day!

We hope to see lots of friendly faces there!

🎨 Creativity in full colour at Forthland Lodge! 🎨

Piece by piece, something truly special came together during our recent mosaic arts and crafts session

Our residents explored their creativity using vibrant coloured card, carefully layering patterns and shades to design their own unique masterpieces. It was a joy to see each person’s individual style shine through, with every creation telling its own story ✨

A lovely afternoon filled with imagination, laughter and shared moments, and of course, some absolutely stunning results!

Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to our wonderful colleagues for supporting such a meaningful activity 💙

Happy International Nurses Day! 🩺💙

We celebrated the incredible nursing team here at Forthland Lodge. Their dedication, expertise, and, most importantly, their kindness and compassion make such a difference every single day.

As a small token of our appreciation, each of our wonderful nurses received a special gift to say thank you for all that they do.

We feel truly fortunate to have such a caring and committed team supporting our residents and their loved ones. Please join us in showing them some well-deserved appreciation! 👏✨
