Bingo Fun at Forthland Lodge! 🎉

Our residents had a fantastic time at our recent Bingo session—smiles, laughter, and a bit of friendly competition all around!

Special Visit from Ziggy the Therapy Dog! 🐶

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Ziggy, the sweetest therapy dog, and her lovely owner Lynne to Forthland Lodge this week!

Ziggy brought so much joy, comfort, and a few happy tears to our residents and staff. Her gentle nature and wagging tail lit up the room, with cuddles and smiles all around. It’s amazing how a furry friend can spark such warmth and connection.

A big thank you to Lynne for sharing Ziggy with us – we’re already counting down the days until their next visit! 💗

🌈 Colourful Rice Sensory Fun at Forthland Lodge!

Today, our residents at Forthland Lodge enjoyed a vibrant and engaging sensory activity with colourful rice!

This hands-on session was not only a feast for the eyes but also a fantastic way to stimulate touch, support mindfulness, and encourage creativity. Residents enjoyed exploring the textures, sorting the colours, and sharing lovely conversations along the way.

Activities like these are a wonderful way to promote well-being and bring joyful moments to our days 💜

☀️ Pom Poms & Sunshine at Forthland Lodge!

What better way to spend a sunny afternoon than getting creative outdoors? Our residents enjoyed some lovely time in the sunshine this week, making colourful pom poms and soaking up the summer vibes! 🧶

With laughter, chatter, and a splash of creativity, it was a wonderful way to keep hands busy and spirits high.

These little bursts of colour are already brightening up the home—and so are our amazing residents!

Fashion Fun at Forthland Lodge! ✂️

This week, our residents got creative designing their dream outfits using ribbons, fabrics, beads, jewels and more! From elegant gowns to stylish suits, everyone’s unique style shone through.

The room was full of laughter, creativity, and fabulous fashion flair. We ended with a mini fashion showcase and lots of proud smiles! 🧵

With the sun blazing outside and the temperature rising, we found the perfect way to cool down — ice lollies all round!

Our lovely resident Isa was pictured enjoying hers, and we just had to share this sweet moment. Sometimes it’s the little things — like a cold treat on a hot day — that bring the biggest smiles! 🍦

🍫 National Chocolate Day at Forthland Lodge!

We celebrated National Chocolate Day in the sweetest way possible – with a messy and magical chocolate fountain event!

Our residents had a blast dipping strawberries, marshmallows, doughnuts, and more into a flowing fountain of rich chocolate. It was a wonderful sensory experience filled with smiles, laughter, and a bit of chocolaty mischief!

A Very Merry Unbirthday to Us! 🐰

Yesterday at Forthland Lodge, we celebrated Alice in Wonderland Day with a truly magical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

The home was brought to life with colourful decorations, plenty of laughter, and some wonderfully wacky hats worn by residents and staff alike! From curious conversations to tea and treats, it was an afternoon full of smiles and silliness. 🍰

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a joyful, memorable event. We’re all still grinning like the Cheshire Cat!

Two posts in one day… which can only mean it’s been a very busy couple of months here at Meallmore and across our 27 care homes. Plenty happening, plenty to share - and no signs of slowing down yet!

This one just couldn’t wait...

Last month, our colleagues, residents, families and local communities laced up their trainers for the Meallmore Walks 1,000 Miles Challenge… and absolutely smashed it.

✅ 7,000 miles walked
✅ £7,000 raised
✅ All in just 7 days

Every step, lap, and stroll was in aid of Cancer Research UK, a cause close to so many hearts across our homes. From beach walks to garden circuits and fancy dress laps to sunset strolls, the creativity and enthusiasm were off the scale.

A huge thank you to every person who got involved, whether you clocked one mile or one hundred, donated, or simply cheered from the sidelines.

🎩 A Magical Afternoon at Forthland Lodge!

We had an absolutely enchanting time this week when the amazing Magic Ian came to entertain our residents!

There were oohs, aahs, and plenty of giggles as Ian wowed us with his mind-boggling tricks, charm, and quick wit! The ladies were especially taken with our magical guest, and he handled a few curveballs like a true professional—nothing could throw him off his game!✨

Wimbledon Comes to Forthland Lodge! 🎾

What a smashing time we had celebrating Wimbledon here at Forthland Lodge! 🏆

Our lovely residents enjoyed a true taste of tradition with fresh strawberries and cream, cheered on their favourites while watching both classic and current matches, and even got involved with some tennis of their own – right here at the Lodge!

The laughter, smiles, and competitive spirit made it a grand slam of a day!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this event an ace! 🙌
