Sometimes, the smallest moments bring the biggest joy, just like our lovely resident Robert, who couldn’t stop smiling while dancing to his favourite tunes!

Seeing the happiness on his face as he moved to the music reminded us all that joy can be found in the little things, a favourite song, a dance, or simply letting yourself have fun.

Well done, Robert, for bringing so much energy and happiness to the day! Your smile truly made a big difference 🎵

🎳☕ Fun and Friendship at Forthland Lodge! ☕🎳

This week was full of smiles, laughter, and togetherness at Forthland Lodge!

Our residents enjoyed a friendly game of bowling, cheering each other on and celebrating every strike and spare. It was wonderful to see such team spirit and plenty of friendly competition, a great way to stay active and have fun at the same time!

Afterwards, our Tuesday Social Group brought everyone together for a relaxed afternoon of conversation, stories, and refreshments. With cups of tea and laughter all around, it was a perfect opportunity to catch up, connect, and enjoy some quality time with friends 🏆✨

These moments of activity and companionship make Forthland Lodge feel even more like home.

💖 Helping Hands Day at Forthland Lodge! 💖

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Helping Hands Day, coming together to take pride in their home and lend a hand with everyday tasks. From dusting and hoovering, to pairing socks and doing the dishes, everyone got involved with smiles and a sense of accomplishment.

It was a lovely reminder of the independence, skills, and abilities our residents continue to have. These small acts of care make a big difference and show that home is truly where the heart is 💕

A huge well done to everyone who joined in, your effort and pride make Forthland Lodge a warmer, brighter place!

Sometimes, a little bit of pampering goes a long way! Our lovely resident Iris enjoyed having her nails painted in her favourite colours

Taking time to treat yourself, change things up, and feel good in your own skin is so important, and it was wonderful to see Iris enjoying every moment. She spends her days bringing smiles to those around her, so it was lovely to give a little joy back to her.

It’s these small acts of care and attention that truly make a big difference in someone’s day 💕

This month’s theme is all about celebrating the small things that bring joy, and sometimes, they come in bold, beautiful colours!

Our lovely resident Janet decided to treat herself to a fabulous new hair colour, going for a vibrant lilac/blue look ✨

The smile on her face says it all, confidence, fun, and pure happiness!

It’s the little things, like expressing yourself and trying something new, that can make the biggest difference to our days. Well done, Janet, you look amazing!

❤️ Love, laughter and lots of dancing at our Valentine’s Disco at Forthland Lodge! ❤️

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic afternoon filled with music, movement and plenty of smiles as we celebrated Valentine’s Day in true party style. The room was decorated beautifully, and everyone was ready to hit the dance floor!

Alongside the dancing, we also had some Valentine’s-themed fun playing Noughts and Crosses, or should we say X’s and O’s! It brought out everyone’s competitive side and added even more laughter to the afternoon.💕

From toe-tapping to classic love songs to full-on dancing with friends and colleagues, it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the atmosphere. There were even a few singalongs along the way

Events like this are such a lovely way to bring everyone together, lift spirits and create joyful memories.

What a brilliant celebration of love and friendship! ✨

💕 Love was truly in the air at Forthland Lodge this Valentine’s Day 💕

Our residents came together to enjoy a beautiful three-course Valentine’s dinner, with tables lovingly decorated to create a romantic and elegant setting.

From married couples sharing special moments, to friends celebrating “Galentine’s” style, and families joining their loved ones, it was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, warmth and companionship.

To make the occasion even more special, everyone enjoyed a glass of bubbly prosecco to toast to love, friendship and happy memories 🥂✨

It was so special to see so many smiles around the table. Moments like these remind us that love comes in many forms

🌸 In the run up to Valentine’s Day, our residents at Forthland Lodge enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of flower arranging 🌷

The room was filled with beautiful blooms, creativity and plenty of smiles as everyone designed their own stunning arrangements. From carefully selecting colours to placing each stem just right, it was lovely to see such concentration and pride in every creation.

As we arranged the flowers, we chatted about everyone’s favourite varieties and reminisced about special times in the past when they had received flowers, whether from a partner, a friend, or a family member. It sparked so many heart-warming memories and meaningful conversations

Flower arranging is not only a relaxing activity, but a wonderful way to express creativity and prepare for a celebration of love and friendship.

We think you’ll agree, they did an amazing job! ✨

🎉 Celebrating Our Wonderful Colleagues at Forthland Lodge! 🎉

We held a special Colleague Award & Recognition Event to celebrate the incredible dedication, kindness and hard work shown every single day by our amazing team.

To make the day extra special, we created our very own “Mobile Treat Trolley", filled with sweets, crisps and little goodies, as a small way to say thank you for everything our colleagues do for the people we support.

Seeing the smiles and positivity around the home was truly heart‑warming. 💙

Thank you to every colleague who goes above and beyond every day, you are the heart of Forthland Lodge, and we appreciate you more than words can say.

💖 Valentine’s Card Making Afternoon 💖

Love was in the air at forthland lodge care home as residents enjoyed a Valentine’s card making session!

There was lots of creativity, laughter, and heartfelt messages as everyone designed beautiful handmade cards for their loved ones, each card was truly unique and made with so much care.

Activities like these are a lovely way for our residents to express themselves, share memories of Valentine’s Days gone by, and spread a little extra joy. 💌✨

Well done to everyone who took part, your creations are absolutely beautiful!

🎨 Recreate the Artist 🎨

We had a wonderful time at Forthland Lodge exploring our creative side during our Recreate the Artist activity. Residents painted alongside famous artworks, taking inspiration from the colours, shapes and unique styles of each artist.

It was a hugely successful session, with everyone fully engaged and enjoying the chance to express their inner artist. The concentration, creativity and pride in their finished pieces was lovely to see — a truly uplifting afternoon for all involved

Creativity has no age limit, and days like this remind us just how talented our residents are ✨

🐦 Virtual Birdwatching at Forthland Lodge 🌿

With the frost still outside, we brought the great outdoors indoors for a virtual birdwatching experience! Residents enjoyed watching a variety of bird videos projected onto the screen, creating a cosy and immersive setting.

To make it feel even more realistic, plants were placed on either side so it felt like peering through bushes — and of course, everyone was given their own pair of binoculars! ✨

There were lots of smiles, conversations and moments of quiet observation as residents spotted different birds and shared memories of time spent outdoors. A wonderful way to stay connected with nature, whatever the weather
