Today we're joining The National Lottery's campaign to say a big thank you. The impact of the grant from The National Lottery Community Fund has been tremendous!
We know that swift intervention during a mental health crisis in pregnancy or early parenthood significantly reduces risk and helps provide a stable home environment for children. Thanks to an incredible grant awarded to us this summer by The National Lottery we have been able to extend our reach of support to the most vulnerable communities in Edinburgh and the Lothians that otherwise may never have accessed our life-changing counselling services. We have grown our specialised team and created dedicated counselling spaces, shown here by our lovely team in their selfies today!
In addition to providing ongoing training and extending our reach into the community, the impact has created many positive ripple effects.
Because of you, The National Lottery players and the Community Fund, our families will get the confidential, non-judgemental support they need to thrive. Every week Β£30 million is raised for good causes by you, the National Lottery players. Supporting organisations like ours to continue our work within our community.
Our incredible team of counsellors share their selfies today to raise awareness of the work that this award has enabled us to do, the importance of mental health and the difference accessible support makes. Our work continues to be possible because of you.
If you or someone you know would like to find out more about our services, please visit the link in our bio. Our team is here for you.

A huge thank you to Kin Collective for your recent support and the wonderful donation of items following your mini swap market. It is always special when organisations come together to support the community. The swap looked so much fun!

These donations will go directly to our Baby Bank, helping us provide essential items to families in Edinburgh. Your generosity helps us ensure children get the best start in life.

Feeling inspired? We are always looking for pre-loved baby items. Our baby bank is an essential lifeline to local families and we need your support. Head to our website at https://counsellingandcare.co.uk/home/baby-bank/ to find out how you could donate to families today! πŸ“¦πŸ‘Ά

Looking after your mental health during pregnancy (and beyond!) is so important, which is why we wanted to share this opportunity from the University of Glasgow.

They're inviting pregnant people to take part in a new, CBT-informed online course developed by Professor Chris Williams (creator of Living Life to the Full). The course is evidence-based, completely free for 1 year, and aims to support mental health through pregnancy and into early parenthood. They're looking for people who are 12-32 weeks pregnant to join them. It’s all about supporting your wellbeing and helping you feel more confident and calm as you get ready for your baby’s arrival.

This study is run by the University of Glasgow. PCCS is sharing the info as we think it would be helpful for our community.

If you're interested, all the details on how to join (plus the chance to win a Β£50 Amazon voucher!) are in the poster. Please scan the QR code or email Miriam Boyd directly to find out more. You can also follow the signup link here πŸ”— https://uofg.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3jAY0duSjPQyUxo.

Is your business interested in volunteering?

We have teams from companies such as, British Gas, Utilita, Lloyds and Natwest to name a few, who come in to support the wonderful work our charity does.

It is hugely rewarding, Emma White at Natwest Group had this to say after helping out in December, "As a (relatively) new mother myself, I really felt grateful to be able to help. Thank you to the team involved for a very productive and uplifting day."

If you have a team of staff that would like to use your corporate volunteering hours to help us in our Baby Bank get in touch with us via info@counsellingandcare.co.uk

✨ Can you give £25 a month to change a life? ✨

Your regular monthly gift could help us provide emotional support to someone going through:
πŸ’” Fertility struggles
πŸ’” Miscarriage or baby loss
πŸ’” Severe anxiety during pregnancy or early parenthood

Β£25 covers a counselling session with one of our specialist counsellors, a safe space to talk openly, begin to heal, and decide what comes next.

By becoming a regular giver, you’re helping us build long-term sustainability so we can be here for families across Edinburgh, no matter what the future holds.

We’re a small charity but together, we can make a big difference. πŸ’›

πŸ™ Thank you to all our amazing regular donors.
