A few of you have been asking how I keep my own skin looking refreshed…
And yes — I have access to all the machines and advanced treatments. But what I always come back to are the basics that work, and two of my personal favourites are from the Marie Reynolds London range: Restore and Butter Balm.

These products have become staples not just in my own routine, but in my treatment room too — because I’ve seen the results, time and time again.

Restore
This is a clever powdered supplement that supports your skin from the inside out. I started taking it myself during a period when my skin was more reactive than usual — and I noticed a genuine shift in how balanced and resilient it felt.

Since then, I’ve recommended it to clients struggling with persistent breakouts, eczema, rosacea, and post-inflammatory flare-ups — and the feedback has been consistently positive.

What it does:

Calms internal inflammation
Supports gut health (a key factor in skin health)
Helps regulate skin behaviour from within
Encourages clearer, calmer, stronger skin
It’s a quiet hero — not flashy, but deeply effective.

Butter Balm
Think of this as your skin’s recovery blanket. I use it on my own skin after microneedling or when I’ve overdone it with actives — and I apply it to clients immediately post-treatment to calm and comfort the skin.

It’s gentle enough for daily use, rich in nourishing oils and omegas, and helps rebuild the skin barrier without clogging or overwhelming.

What I’ve seen in-clinic:

Redness and dryness soothed almost instantly
Faster healing post-treatment
Clients using it at home and noticing less irritation day to day
It’s also brilliant on dry hands, elbows, or as a soothing balm for little ones with sensitive skin.

This duo has earned its place on my shelf — and my clients’ too.
If you’re not sure where to start with your skin, or if yours feels like it needs some deep support and nourishment, this might be the perfect place.

Let me know if you’d like help choosing the right product or learning how to use them properly.

I’ve always loved helping people with their skin it’s something I care about deeply.

Even though I’ve been doing this for over 30 years and trained at one of the best beauty schools in London, there were times I didn’t feel good enough. I’ve also had to learn how to work with my ADHD and all the challenges that come with it.

Now, I have a busy skincare space in Edinburgh where I help people feel more confident in their own skin. I don’t do one-size-fits-all treatments every facial I give is different, depending on what each person needs. The best part? I work with my clients on Skin journeys creating results and relationships treating the same woman for years.
At home, I live with my husband, our two kids, and our dog. I feel really lucky to do a job I love.

Thank you so much if you’ve ever booked an appointment, told a friend about me, or even just liked one of my posts.

Let’s talk skin from the inside out.

I only ever talk about what I genuinely use and trust and supplements have quietly made a big difference to how my skin and hair feel.

It’s easy to focus on creams and treatments (which absolutely have their place), but skin is an organ. It needs to be nourished from within, too.

I take collagen, skin and hair vitamins, and a few other things that support hydration and elasticity, especially as collagen naturally declines with age.
For me, this inside-out approach supports everything I do in clinic.
Let me know if you’d like me to share what I take and why.

I’ve been seeing more men in my treatment room these last few years.

Male skin different. It’s thicker, oilier, and can take more wear and tear, but it also gets clogged, irritated from shaving, get neglected and sun-damaged.

Facials help to clear out blocked pores, calm down redness, and keep the skin looking and feeling healthy. Treatments like HIFU, Red Light Therapy, Mesotherapy, and OxyGeneo+ work really well on male skin as they all hey give proper, visible results.

So if the man in your life has never had a facial, now’s the time.

It’s a real privilege to treat both a mother and her daughter in clinic.Different skin, different stages of life, but the same level of care and trust. This is the part of the job I value most, building long-term relationships and helping people feel comfortable in their skin.

Butter Balm by Marie Reynolds has quickly become one of my go-to essentials.

It’s brilliant for dry or irritated skin, especially after sun exposure, swimming, or in between facial treatments. I’ve also seen great results on eczema, psoriasis, and little ones with rashes or dry patches.

The texture is buttery (just how I like it) and melts in beautifully. Rich, soothing, and deeply nourishing. Like a creamy hug for your skin.

It’s one of those products that really earns its place in your skincare bag. Especially on holiday when you want one thing that can do a bit of everything.
