Today is National Hug Day 🤍
Hugs are more than a gesture, they’re a biological language of safety.
A genuine hug can:
• lower stress hormones
• calm the nervous system
• release oxytocin (our “connection” hormone)
• remind the body it’s supported
At OMH, we see every day how the body responds to safe, intentional touch whether that’s through massage, bodywork, or simply being held in a calm, regulated space.
Not everyone has access to hugs that feel safe or nourishing.
And that’s okay.
Sometimes the body needs a different kind of support:
✨ grounded presence
✨ skilled therapeutic touch
✨ a space where it can soften and reset
Today, we’re celebrating connection in all its forms, physical, emotional, and nervous-system-deep.
