Today is National Hug Day 🤍

Hugs are more than a gesture, they’re a biological language of safety.

A genuine hug can:
• lower stress hormones
• calm the nervous system
• release oxytocin (our “connection” hormone)
• remind the body it’s supported

At OMH, we see every day how the body responds to safe, intentional touch whether that’s through massage, bodywork, or simply being held in a calm, regulated space.

Not everyone has access to hugs that feel safe or nourishing.
And that’s okay.

Sometimes the body needs a different kind of support:
✨ grounded presence
✨ skilled therapeutic touch
✨ a space where it can soften and reset

Today, we’re celebrating connection in all its forms, physical, emotional, and nervous-system-deep.

However you experience it today, may your body feel held

If you’re feeling a little flat you’re not alone.
Nothing is wrong with you.

January can feel heavy and your nervous system feels it too.

This isn’t weakness. It’s biology.
Today doesn’t need fixing.
It needs kindness.

If Blue Monday feels heavy we’re here to support you.

Join Fay Denwood

This year I decided to set out the dates in
advance, to open the possibility of joining them all and following the year through to the next winter solstice should you wish to.
It is my belief that through connecting to the seasons on these ancient celebrations we live in deeper harmony with the world and within ourselves. Now is the time to rest, reflect and restore. Imbolc is coming on the 1st February, midway between winter and Spring
We will set intentions for the coming year and move together.
There are 3 spaces left for 31st January, you can book

Signs Your Body Needs Lymphatic Support
Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump, it relies on movement, breath, and gentle support. When it slows down, your body lets you know.
Here’s how it asks for help.
- Bloating:
Persistent puffiness or water retention can signal sluggish lymph flow.
- Heavy Legs:
That weighed-down feeling, especially after long days or travel, may point to lymph stagnation.
- Brain Fog:
Poor lymph circulation can affect how clear and energised you feel mentally.
- Low Immunity:
The lymphatic system plays a major role in immune defence, when it’s overloaded, immunity can dip.
- Puffy Face:
Facial swelling, especially in the morning, is a common sign the lymphatic system needs support.

Listen to your body, we can help

You don’t need a massive launch to build a strong teaching practice.

You need:
• consistency
• a space that feels supportive
• students who feel safe enough to return

Some of the most sustainable wellness businesses are built quietly:
One weekly class.
One committed group.
One space that holds everyone well.

Slow growth isn’t failure.
It’s often what actually lasts.

Do you agree?

“Comment ‘steady’ if you’re choosing sustainability over hustle.

This Week’s Most Booked Treatment:

Full Body Massage

There’s a reason it’s our most booked.
A full body massage helps release built-up tension, calm the nervous system, improve circulation, and restore balance from head to toe.

Perfect if you’re feeling:
• overwhelmed
• tense or tight
• mentally drained
• in need of a full reset

Sometimes your whole body just needs care, not a quick fix.
