✨Wish Achieved ✨
Last month, we had the privilege of arranging a very special visit to the National Museums Scotland in Edinburgh to reunite 104-year-old Mary, with her traditional Korean dress, which she first wore more than 100 years ago.
Mary has lived a truly fascinating life. Born in Korea, she travelled across the world, joined the Navy, served during the war, and later raised her family here in the UK.
The story began when we discovered a photograph in Mary’s room showing her as a child wearing the dress. After a little research, we were amazed to learn that the very same dress was on display at the National Museum of Scotland.
We contacted the museum and were delighted to arrange a special visit for Mary to see her dress again after all these years, a truly emotional and unforgettable moment.
At Care UK, creating meaningful moments and making wishes come true for residents is at the heart of what we do. If you’d like to learn more about the work happening across our homes, please feel free to get in touch.
