GP walk‑in clinics provide a limited range of services at significantly higher cost than core general practice. These clinics failed to reduce pressures on general practice and A&E departments in England where they were trialled extensively - the majority have now closed or been converted into urgent treatment centres. Further detail on why the College does not view this policy as a solution to access issues is available in The Times.

On Thursday 2 April we were delighted to welcome Dr Rob Lawson to deliver his insightful lecture on ‘Lifestyle Medicine: Bringing Global Solutions to Local Problems’. 🌍

Drawing on 42 years’ experience as a family doctor, Dr Lawson shared his extensive knowledge and passion for advancing lifestyle medicine within healthcare systems.
