Why doesn’t Mounjaro or Wegovy work for everyone?

One thing I feel very strongly about is this:
Just because a medication doesn’t work well for you, or works very slowly, does not mean you’ve failed.

Mounjaro and Wegovy can be great tools for some people, but they don’t work the same way for everyone. Biology matters. Hormones matter. Insulin resistance matters. Leptin resistance matters. Appetite signalling matters. Even dose tolerance and how quickly someone responds can make a difference.

But here’s the part I always come back to: The basics still matter.

Good food choices, blood sugar balance, protein, movement, sleep, stress, and sustainable habits are still the foundation - with or without medication.

For some people, these medications are very helpful. For others, they may work slowly. And for some, they may not be the right fit at all.
That doesn’t mean there is no hope. It may just mean the body needs a different approach - often starting with the basics.

Medication can be part of the plan. But it should never make us forget the foundations!
