There’s been plenty to enjoy at Cramond Residence recently. Our residents had a wonderful evening trip to McEwan’s Hall at the University of Edinburgh to experience Enlightenment, a sound and light show inspired by Vivaldi’s Four Seasons - a truly memorable outing.

Back at the Residence, our cinema room has been full of life, with the Rolling Hills Choir putting on an excellent performance for our residents. We’ve also enjoyed some lighter moments, relaxing together with an afternoon of Morecambe and Wise, bringing plenty of laughter.

Every year at Cramond Residence, we welcome some very special little visitors. 🐣

From watching the eggs hatch in the incubator to helping look after the ducklings, it’s an experience our residents, families and visiting children all love. The highlight has to be bringing out the paddling pool and watching them enjoy their first swims, always a moment that brings plenty of smiles.

As the days get brighter, our residents are enjoying staying active with regular physiotherapy sessions at Cramond Residence.

These sessions are run by Balanced Edinburgh and help support mobility, strength and confidence, making it easier for residents to keep moving and enjoy more time out and about as the weather improves. Staying active plays such an important role in overall wellbeing, and it’s great to see everyone benefiting from it.

We recently welcomed Freda and her engaging drama workshop to Cramond Residence. She performed for our residents and laid out postcards and objects to spark conversation and reflection.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we’d like to remind families that visiting at Cramond Residence is flexible and always welcomed.

We don’t have strict visiting hours, allowing family and friends to spend time together when it suits them best. We simply ask that visitors are mindful of residents’ need for rest, therapeutic activities and the comfort of others within the home. It’s all part of creating a calm, supportive environment for everyone.

It’s always a full house when Julia and Dom come to play for us. Our residents really look forward to their visits, and the atmosphere is always lively and uplifting. There’s nothing better than seeing residents singing along, tapping their feet and even having a little dance. Music has such a wonderful way of bringing everyone together. Located to the north west of Edinburgh, in the tranquil village of Cramond, it is easily accessible across the Lothians and Fife. It will offer exceptional standards of care, a wide range of facilities and the latest in healthcare technology. All in all, it is a very special place to live.

The Residence is uniquely designed to promote community living with a touch of added luxury. There are nine unique houses each with eight or nine deluxe or premium bedrooms, all with access to lots of shared living spaces indoors and out and fantastic hotel services.
