As you can see by our t shirts and totes, we’ve been having a bit of fun transferring our art onto stuff! Right now in The Portal you’ll find totes with the shop logo, Sam’s Persevere & graffitied Kirkgate Vic statue and Derek’s black cat designs. The only question is, what else should go on a tote…?!

We had the very best start to the week as we were joined by our eldest son, Lee, who’s keen to help out in the shop. He hit the ground running by creating a couple of beautiful crystal sets for people who want to connect with natural spaces like, forests and beaches, which will be available soon.

We are absolutely obsessed with crystals, stones, tektites & other natural treasures here at Portal Leith and and we have so many that sometimes it can be overwhelming, especially for people who are new to ‘all this stuff’.

We are always on hand to help, but our mission is to help people understand that the only person who knows which stone is right for you is you 😃

One way to find your stone is to start with a need (eg increased confidence)

Work out the energy centre(s) this relates to (eg solar plexus)

And start to pick up stones that resonate with that centre (eg yellow, gold etc).

Or - and I highly recommend this method- set the intention, and let your intuition guide you to what you need 😊 If this means you pick the stone you think is prettiest, that’s 100% fine! Remember - you cannot get this wrong.

We are open today (Sunday) 12-4, with tarot from our Jenni. Drop in if you can- we’d love to see you!

There aren’t many jobs you can honestly say you don’t mind doing on your birthday, but spending it in our lovely wee shop is definitely one of them.
