As we head into the new year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on 2025 here at Go Osteo - we have welcomed Ben, our newest osteopath from Bath and wished Alessandro well with his new venture.

Margaux and I have continued with our mission, and we are all proud to have helped countless people relieve pain, feel better, and stay active.

We believe osteopathy is a modern, preventative approach to physical healthcare - hands-on, evidence-based, and completely personalised.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We’re delighted to announce Edinburgh South Boxing Academy’s first boxing show.

This event will feature a mix of skills bouts and scoring bouts, giving both junior and adult boxers the opportunity to gain ring experience in a safe, controlled, and competitive environment.

It will also give our boxers the chance to showcase the skills, discipline, and progress they’ve been building week after week in the gym, in front of parents, supporters, and the wider boxing community.

📍 Dalkeith Miners Club
🗓 Sunday 8th March
🕧 Doors open 12:30pm | Boxing starts 1pm

🎟 Tickets:
£20 Adults
£15 Concession (Ages 5–15)

Alleyoop are a performance marketing agency specialising in Google Ads, social media advertising, and TV & radio campaigns.

Their backing is helping us deliver our first show and will continue help us create opportunities for boxers in the south of Edinburgh.

ESBA is looking for a volunteer to become an official — Judge or Referee — for the club.

We’re now moving deeper into the competitive side of boxing, and every club needs at least one active Working Official to support shows, events, and our own boxers. This is where we need someone from our community to step up.

No previous boxing experience is required.
Boxing Scotland provides full training, and we’ll support you through every step. If you’ve ever wanted to be more involved in the sport, this is one of the best ways to do it. You’ll learn how bouts are scored, how shows run, and you’ll play a real role in helping our boxers progress.

This volunteer role makes a huge difference to the club’s future. The more officials we have, the more opportunities we can offer our young people and adults competing under the ESBA banner.

If you’re interested, curious, or want to chat about what’s involved, send us a message or speak to us at training.

Back to see my osteopath
My weekly treatment tussles,
To mobilise and improve my knees
And waken up my muscles.

They listen to my rambles
Understanding them quite well,
Working out what’s needed
To ease things for a spell.

When Iain is unavailable
Margaux takes the lead,
Giving continuity of expert care
Exactly what I need.

They always finds the tight bits
To massage and tenderise,
Although I know and take deep breaths
The pain can take me by surprise.

Iain does recount some tales
Of suits, sunburn, and drinks,
An expert of distraction?
Nah, a chatty chap methinks!

I DO listen to the experts
And their advice I take on board,
With their treatments and my exercise
Less pain will be my reward.

There’s already been improvement
And I accept that it takes time,
I know patience is a virtue
It’s just not one of mine.

Plodding on is my plan
The bend and straight will come
Then maybe we can sort my neck
Yay! More Go Osteo fun.
