Thorough assessment, pain relief, mobility improvement and protecting your long-term health. Nature has provided each of us with a body that has evolved over millions of years to serve us perfectly for our purpose. Unfortunately, that purpose was to hunt and gather, not to slouch on sofas, lean over computer keyboards or drive vehicles for hours on end! We're here to prevent and correct the damage

that modern living does to our bodies. So if you're one of those Homo Sapiens that prefers to hunt for a chair and gather aches and pains, we could help you to feel a bit more human!

There is always time to take a moment out of your day. This morning the sun was shining briefly and these lovely roses greeted me as I came into the practice to work. The variety of rose is compassion which always makes me smile as I admire the blooms and the aroma. I hope you find your own moment

There’s a lot going on at Eyre Place! The renovation of the rear treatment room, heating system and hallway is taking a wee bit longer than expected. Next week we are juggling rooms to ensure that everyone is accommodated, so you might be in a different room to usual or even next door at 21 Eyre Place. We will keep you posted. There might be some some ‘noises off’ at times and trades coming and going. Please bear with us and all will be revealed soon!

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 Pride 2025 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Yesterday I was delighted to join colleagues from across health in London for Pride 2025. I represented the as IPP participating with the Osteopathic regulator GOsC in the London Pride Parade. This is the third year that GOsC have participated in the parade, led by GOsC CEO Matthew Redford, we were joined by many osteopaths, students, and staff from osteopathic organisations such as iO and HSU who came together to celebrate. GOsC encouraging osteopaths to join them in the healthcare section of the parade maybe a small step to demonstrate osteopathy’s accessibility to all patients but it is a step in the right direction.

There is a large Healthcare sector represented in the event. At a time when healthcare and access to health services are under review it is important to highlight inequalities and to demonstrate the adaptability and accessibility of our treatment to patients. We still have a long way to go before osteopathy is accessible to all but making it clear that colleagues and patients are given support is a good place to continue this journey.

Osteopath Mary was lucky enough to be invited to a garden party with the King (and Queen and Princess Anne). A lovely afternoon with the Company of Archers and the High Constables in full ceremonial garb.

Happy solstice! It’s light from about 3am and with this heat you may well be awake for the dawn! This view of Arthur’s Seat from my bedroom window at 3.30am this morning.

Portugal celebrates its sardine industry at Lisbon airport with this brilliant shop! Sardines are good sources of protein, calcium, potassium, selenium, iodine and vitamin B12. That means they are good for muscles, bones, and supplying essential nutrients for body maintenance. They are oily fish, filled with omega-3 fatty acids, which are cardioprotective, anti-inflammatory and support mental health. They're an easy summer meal, thrown into a pasta dish or salad, or as a healthy snack on toast 🐟 🥰

Our Story

Want to feel a bit more human?

Nature has provided each of us with a skeleton that has evolved over millions of years to serve us perfectly for our purpose. Unfortunately, that purpose was to be active to hunt and gather, not to slouch on sofa's, lean over computer keyboards or drive vehicles for hours on end. That's why there are Osteopath's, like us. We're here to prevent and correct the damage that modern living does to our bodies. So if you're someone who prefers to hunt for a chair and gathers aches and pains, we could help you to feel a bit more human.
