We’re hiring an Organisational Coordinator!

Edinburgh Centre for Psychodynamic Therapy (ECPT) is looking for an experienced and reliable Organisational Coordinator to support our therapy service and postgraduate training programme.

The role is office-based with fixed late afternoon and evening hours, ensuring administrative presence during clinical placement activity.

Hours: 16 per week
Salary: £30,000 FTE (£13,714.29 pro rata)
Contract: 6-month fixed term (with potential to extend)
Start date: Mid-June to early July 2026
Location: Edinburgh (Causewayside)

Train as a Psychotherapist – Applications Open for ECPT’s qualifying training in Existential Psychodynamic Therapy 👩‍🎓

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for ECPT’s qualifying training in Existential Psychodynamic Therapy delivered in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) as a pathway on their PgDip / MSc Counselling Practice (SCQF Level 11), starting in September 2026.

This two- to three-year, part-time course offers in-depth clinical training, combining psychodynamic and existential approaches to psychotherapy.

Why choose this programme?
✔ The only course in the UK that integrates psychodynamic and existential therapy and the only in Scotland to offer a major existential component
✔ Work-based learning (commonly referred to as clinical placement) at ECPT’s therapy service
✔ Accreditation pathway with NCPS, BACP or COSCA
✔ Eligible students can apply for SAAS funding of £7,000 towards tuition fees
✔ Option for students to complete the additional MSc dissertation module through GCU’s MSc Counselling Practice to get the MSc award
✔ Small, supportive cohorts with a high tutor-to-student ratio

We’re hiring! 🌿

ECPT is looking for a Therapy Service Manager to join our team in our Edinburgh office.

This 2-day-a-week role (Mondays and Fridays) involves coordinating our trainee therapists, assessing client referrals, and managing the overall running of the therapy service.

If you’re an experienced psychodynamic therapist with experience of supervising trainee therapists and strong organisational skills, we’d love to hear from you.

🕰 14 hours per week (Mondays and Fridays)
💰 £40,000 FTE (pro rata £16,000)

Yesterday marked one year since ECPT opened its doors. Over the past year, we’ve welcomed incredible therapists in training, supported clients through hundreds of therapy sessions, and began building a growing community passionate about psychodynamic and existential approaches.
