Many of the podcasts from this series are interesting. However, this particular one caught my attention for obvious reasons.🙂

How icing injuries and alternating hot and cold can help pain, inflammation and recovery.

This was an interesting listen. 😀

Really good to see that NICE are now promoting exercise as the treatment of choice in the management of osteoarthritis.
The challenge is to provide patients with the needed support and direction to ensure that the exercise program gives maximum benefit.

It may hurt, but exercise is beneficial for joints, experts say in guidance for doctors and patients.

Practice Update 14th April 2022

Dear Patients and Friends,

It's a long time since we updated the practice operating arrangements due to that fact that not a lot has changed over the last 9 months Covid wise, at least not in terms of effecting the practice. However, this seems a good moment to touch base with you all as directions are changing next week.

From next week Eilidh and I will continue to wear a mask and sanitiser will remain available at the entrance. In line with government direction we encourage patients to wear a face covering especially if you wish or need to use the waiting area / exercise space at the back of the surgery.

Take care,

John & Eilidh Gladwin

Covid 19 Update 19th July 2021

Dear Patients and Friends,

This seems a good moment to touch base with you all as restrictions are changing and this inevitably generates some discussion and debate.

We kindly ask that patients continue to wear their mask at the surgery. Sanitiser will remain available at the entrance.

We also request that patients continue to attempt to arrive as close to their appointment time as is reasonably possible. This allows us to manage the movement of patients as they arrive and leave ensuring effective social distancing. One minor adjustment to our use of the surgery space is that the waiting room is now being used minimally as it provides a larger area for reviewing patients exercise programmes.

Take care,

John & Eilidh Gladwin
