One of the biggest compliments I can receive is that someone felt supported.

Not pushed.
Not judged.
Not made to feel like they had to ignore their body to make progress.

Just supported as a whole person.

This is exactly the kind of space I aim to continue creating ♥️

I am very grateful for this kind review and the wonderful peopleI get to meet and work with.

I think a lot of people end up feeling stuck somewhere in the middle.

No longer needing formal rehabilitation...but not quite feeling fully at home in traditional fitness spaces either.

Wanting to feel strong, more confident and more capable. Wherever you are on your journey.

Needing an approach that is adaptable, compassionate and realistic for their life.

That's the space I am really passionate about supporting people in.

Not replacing rehabilitation.
Not rejecting fitness.
Not underestimating what you are capable of.

Just helping you to bridge the gap between the different spaces in a way that supports long term health, confidence and quality of life.

Day 19 of Rebuilding || Didn't quite make it as far as I planned

Today was a weird one life wise. Unexpected babysitting meant I got out later in the day, hadn't looked after myself well and then was a bit optimistic with the run location.

Definitely underestimated the effect of running off road with some undulations.

I was really disappointed in myself for stopping early, but as I walked out the rest of the route I talked myself down.

🌟 A win was getting out for something at all given what life threw at me.

🌟 Another win was not injuring myself.

🌟 Another win was pushing my comfort zone and doing my longest run since rebuilding on tougher terrain.

All in all, not a failure of a run.

Days 17 & 18 of Rebuilding || Absolutely not rest days

I have actually been too hard on myself this past week. Wondering why I am taking so many "rest days" and feeling so tired.

And yet, I look back and every day over the past 9 or so days I have been either teaching classes, at work with clients/on shift and/or doing some form of exercise for myself.

Those are not all dedicated workouts for myself. But nor are they rest days.

That's exactly what I'd say to a client, so here's a reminder for myself and for you..

💙 days off exercise aren't always restful!

Day 16 of Rebuilding || Addressing the elephant in the room 🐘

Ahh, yes I am a big proponent of strength training but that doesn't mean it is right for everyone in every moment.

Yes, I will build back up to it..I've been added strength & mobility into my yoga and movement to help get my body used to loading the joints again.

It's okay to build back up gradually, when starting up again after a break. There will be a time for me to push myself harder...but that time won't come if I don't set my foundations.

As much as I want everything RIGHT NOW, the long term is far more important to me than launching into a workout that might set me back on my journey.

Building back isn't always super glamorous, but we build brick by brick for a reason.
