The Aspiring Congenital Heart Surgeons Association (ACHSA: UK) invites a select group of forward-thinking students and trainees to an exclusive virtual session on the leading edge of congenital heart surgery.

This is a rare opportunity to engage with Professor Ahmad Ali Amirghofran, Head of Cardiac Surgery in Shiraz. Professor Amirghofran’s career is a blueprint for clinical influence and high-impact innovation, featuring 14 world-first and 8 national-first procedures, alongside pioneering reconstructive valve techniques.

Recently awarded the EACTS Techno-College Innovation Award for his stented Right Atrial Appendage (SRAA) valve, he is a proven expert in moving concepts from theory into mainstream clinical adoption.

What to Expect in This Closed-Door Session:
This session goes beyond standard medical lectures to explore the tactical reality of surgical innovation through a dynamic “Live-in-a-Box” presentation.

The Mechanics of Breakthroughs: Watch procedural demonstrations that deconstruct the technical and intellectual journey behind world-first surgeries.

Translational Strategy: Learn the art of clinical influence. How to take a pioneering concept, navigate the medical establishment, and drive widespread adoption.

High-Level Dialogue: Engage directly with Professor Amirghofran. This small-group environment is designed for interactive discussion rather than passive observation.

To protect the quality of the conversation and ensure meaningful, direct engagement for every attendee, places are strictly capped.

Registration is now open.

We had a great time representing ACHSA at the SCTS Annual Meeting 2025 in Edinburgh. The conference was a great experience filled with interactive wetlabs, presentations and keynote talks. It also gave us an opportunity for us to display some of the work we have been doing at ACHSA. The conference marked our one year anniversary, we are very thankful for all the engagement and support we have received this past year and are motivated to bring out more events in the coming year!
