🦘🦘🦘 Kangaroo Care Day 🦘🦘🦘

Did you know that the benefits of kangaroo care continue for up to three months for a baby born at term, and 6 months for a preterm baby? One way of doing Kangaroo Care at home is by using the baby box wrap to wear your baby. Please speak to your AHP team to find out more about all things baby wearing!

⭐ May 5th Marks International Day Of The Midwife- this day (celebrated. since 1992) is to recognise the contributions of midwives globally and promote the profession. ⭐

🥰 The day is an opportunity for midwives to reflect on their work and connect with colleagues. It also serves as a platform to raise awareness about midwifery and the importance of maternal and newborn health. 🥰

❤️ In Celebration of International Day of The Midwife 2025
we have heard from some of our families and colleagues across NHS Lothian
Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us about the midwives they have met and their experiences! ❤️

🤰(Some feedback has been shortened for the purpose of this video but all midwives mentioned by name will receive the full feedback and the time taken to share is much appreciated- Thank You!) 🤱

Knowing there’s a friendly voice waiting to take your call makes all the difference when you need some reassurance or support with feeding your baby, especially in the small hours when you feel like you’re the only person awake.” 0300 100 0212]
