I am a Personal Trainer & Nutritionist based in PureGym Edinburgh - Exchange Crescent. A Level 3 certified Personal Trainer, also holding certifications in Gym Based Boxing, Studio Cycling & Circuit Training with a supplementary qualification as Level 1 SFA Football Coach. As a Personal Trainer I aim to provide high quality training and support sessions based entirely around your personal goals an

d ambitions in relation to your fitness aspirations. Helping you achieve these goals will become my passion as well as yours. Shocking I know!

Not just the gym, all you runners, crossfitters & “hybrid rockstars” are the same if not worse.

It’s great having your goal.
But your friends and family are tired of you talking about it non stop.

Have some other chat, do some other stuff.
You don’t need to miss training or not stick to your nutrition for your goals.

But you don’t need to change your entire personality to all things gym, etc.

It’s a very positive part of your life & a great thing to be doing. It’s not your entire life.

Ps. If it’s your job you can have some slack 😂

Your expectations and effort do not match.
That’s why you’re not seeing results & making progress.

You don’t get maximum gain from minimal effort, sadly.

You need to bite the bullet and actually try.
The issue people have is they don’t know where to direct their effort to get the results they want.

Focussing on the wrong stuff will delay your progress.

That’s where I come in.
Giving you a clear direction & instruction on what to prioritise & where to put your effort & focus to get the most from the effort you are putting in.

More efficient results, more progress overall.

From feeling terrible and performing well below their ability to smashing out a 50km PB 🎉

Only been working together 5 weeks & we have set a great foundation for the future.

Nutrition and understanding around nutrition in a much better place.

Having weekly check ins to explain why their nutrition is set up the way it is and how we can positively impact performance is priceless!

All leading to a big PB & feeling a lot better doing it!

This has been a fun process being more sport specific which is how I got into the gym in the first place.

Despite my personal preference towards running I’m pretty good at training runners 🤷🏻‍♂️😂.

Now we have a call later this week to get a plan in place for October (91km… madness)

Honestly, I know people love to complain but complaining about something you can control is ridiculous.

Weather, I kind of get it. We have zero control & just have to live with it.

You don’t have to live with feeling rubbish & not being happy with how you look.

If you don’t know how to change it, you need help.

If you have tried a bunch of fad diets & failed, you need help.

Fat loss (shaming) clubs like sliming world not worked? Get help from someone who actually knows how nutrition & exercise work.

Less time complaining & more time doing.

Literally start with walking more if you need to.
For most, that’s probably where you need to start anyway.

Most people sit on their butt all day every day, walking is under rated. Do it!

Basically instead of complaining over something you can actually change.

Sort your sh*t & do something about it.

Every morning without fail. 🦮

All part of the morning routine.
Wake up
Coach in person
Dog walk
Breakfast.

Set for the day with around 6k steps in the bag.
All by 9.30/10.30 depending on how many client I have that morning.

I’m not a morning person, so the structure & routine is important to start ticking things off early & get that productivity going into the rest of the day.

If I don’t, I’m a slow starter.
Once I’m started I fly through tasks.

The routine gets me started each day & makes me more productive.

Everyone should have some form of morning routine/structure that gets them going in the best way for the day.

Ideally with a bit of exercise (yes walking is exercise).
Walking is very underrated.

“I want to lose fat” - but you do nothing.
You refuse to exercise or eat better.

“I want to build muscle” - but you won’t get to the gym & train appropriately.

“I want to be healthier” - but you eat zero fruits & vegetables & again don’t bother to even go for a walk.

Just shut up and do the thing.
Honestly! It was the same when I worked in the bank.

People complaining about the job, saying they were going to leave.
A few weeks passed & guess what… they hadn’t even applied for anything.

Just a bunch of excuses why they hadn’t yet.
When in reality the just didn’t bother their arse.

Want a leaner more toned physique?

It’s achievable, without going full bodybuilder or photoshoot.
More a happy with how you look & confident vibe.

For context, to get this lean it took me 18 weeks & my starting position was not good 😅

How? I had a plan.
I trained, done my steps, ate the amount of calories & protein I was supposed to (most of the time 👀) & that was it.

Ticking those boxes week after week got me the leanest I have ever been.
I did feel more like a zombie than a human toward the end but you don’t need to take it that far!

One thing you do need for a more toned/athletic body is muscle.

So start building it yesterday.
Building muscle is measured in months & years.
Fat loss is measured in weeks.

You need a plan.
You need structure.
You need accountability.

That’s why you probably haven’t had much success in the past.
You didn’t have one or all of those things.

That’s where I come in. I help with all of them & anything else that randomly pops up.

To get you results quicker than you ever have.
