February is nearly over. How has it actually been for you?

Not how it should have been. Not compared to the intentions you set in January. Just honestly - how has this month felt?

Maybe you started strong and then life got complicated. Maybe your energy has been lower than expected. Maybe something shifted that you didn’t anticipate, and you’re still figuring out what that means.

Or maybe you’ve had small moments of ease you didn’t expect. Maybe something that felt impossible in January feels a bit more manageable now. Maybe you’ve learned something new about what you actually need.

All of this is allowed. February doesn’t have to match January’s plan.

If the goals you set at the start of the year aren’t working anymore, you’re allowed to reassess. You’re allowed to change direction. You’re allowed to need something different than you thought you would.

Reflection isn’t about judging yourself for what you didn’t do or what didn’t go to plan. It’s about acknowledging what’s true right now - what’s been hard, what’s shifted, and what you might need going into March.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be honest with yourself.

If you need support navigating what’s changed or what feels difficult right now, I’m here.

If you’ve ever felt like something about modern life doesn’t quite fit you - like you’re constantly adapting, managing, keeping up - you’re not alone.

And it’s not a personal failing.

Your nervous system is doing exactly what it’s designed to do. The problem is, it was never designed for the relentless pace and stimulation of modern living.

This isn’t about being too sensitive or not resilient enough. It’s about understanding what your system actually needs in order to feel safe and supported.

If this feels familiar, you don’t have to navigate it alone. 💌 DM me or call to explore gentle, nervous-system-informed support.

Have you noticed that at certain times - whether it’s a particular phase of your cycle, perimenopause, or just periods of stress - your emotions seem to sit closer to the surface?

Things that would normally roll off you feel heavier. Tears come more easily. Small things feel unexpectedly overwhelming.

And often, you find yourself wondering: why am I feeling like this? Why can’t I cope the way I normally do.

What gets overlooked in these moments is how much hormones influence the way we feel.

Hormones don’t just affect your body; they directly shape how your nervous system responds to the world around you. When oestrogen and progesterone levels shift, your stress threshold changes. Things you’d usually manage without thinking suddenly feel harder. Conversations feel more loaded. Your patience runs thinner.

But this doesn’t mean your emotions are irrational or overblown. It means your nervous system has less buffer space than it usually does.

And here’s what makes this particularly confusing: the body often responds to hormonal changes before your mind has caught up. You might feel raw, on edge, or more vulnerable without being able to pin down why. The physical sensations come first. The emotional responses follow. The logical understanding arrives last.

Emotional sensitivity during these times isn’t something you need to fix or eliminate. It’s often your body’s way of saying it needs more support, rest, or gentleness during this particular phase.

Therapy can give you space to make sense of what you’re experiencing without judgement. Acupuncture can support your nervous system as it adjusts to internal shifts. Both approaches work with your body rather than against it.
If you’ve been feeling more emotionally sensitive lately and aren’t sure why, you’re not alone, and you don’t need to figure it out on your own.

✨ Really excited to share that I’ve been featured in this month’s Happiful Magazine! ✨

I was asked to contribute to their “Ask the Experts” section on the question: “How can I feel more present in my body, and the moment?”

I talked about grounding, reconnecting with your body, and how reflexology can help you recognise the way stress shows up physically.

The magazine is full of brilliant articles - understanding anxiety, living with ADHD, solo travel stories, journaling prompts, and beautifully honest pieces about grief and wellbeing.

Feeling very grateful to for the opportunity to share gentle, accessible ways to support your nervous system.

When tests show nothing but the pain won’t leave, it’s easy to feel dismissed or start doubting yourself.

But pain without a clear physical cause is still real. And often, it’s your nervous system speaking - holding stress, emotional strain, and everything you had to push through when stopping wasn’t an option.

Your body adapted to protect you. It learned to stay tense, vigilant, and braced. And now those signals that would normally fade have started to linger - turning into chronic discomfort that feels like it has no source.

This isn’t weakness. It’s how the nervous system works under sustained pressure.

The body holds what the mind couldn’t process. Times you stayed strong when you needed support. Emotions that didn’t have space to move. Stress that never fully released.

Acupuncture, reflexology, and counselling work with this mind-body connection - helping your nervous system calm, your body soften, and creating space for what’s been held to finally release.

Your pain deserves to be heard, not dismissed.
