Thank you to American Bowen Academy for this post. It has been considered that light touch may expand the Piezoelectric connections further through the Fascia.

Did you know this?? You are electrical!

Your body is not just a biomechanical machine. It’s an electrical symphony, tuned and powered by movement itself. And at the heart of this symphony is your fascia—a living, intelligent network of connective tissue that wraps every cell, muscle, organ, and nerve.

Fascia is made of tropocollagen, a triple-helix protein that forms a liquid crystal matrix. This matrix is piezoelectric—meaning it generates electrical current when it’s compressed, stretched, or moved.

Every step.
Every breath.
Every subtle pressure sends signals through this matrix.

These signals travel along collagen nanotubules, acting like fiber-optic cables, transmitting quantum-level information across the body at astonishing speeds. They help regulate repair, perception, coordination, and even emotional tone.

This is why movement is medicine.

It doesn’t just build strength—it activates the body’s regenerative field.
It doesn’t just improve circulation—it charges the fascia with current.

In stillness, the system can stagnate.
In mindful motion, the system comes alive.

This isn’t speculation.
This is measurable.
It’s how acupuncture works.
It’s why physical therapy is effective.
It’s why breathwork, somatic practices, and movement-based healing modalities produce such deep results.

You are not separate from the field.
You are not static.
You are a dynamic, self-healing matrix of light, pressure, water, and frequency.

Your body listens to how you move.
Your fascia speaks in electric code.
And regeneration is the response to coherent, conscious motion.

Move with awareness.
Charge the grid.
The current of life is always flowing.

The ideal time for Bowen Therapy is immediately after an injury.

That way, your body can overcome the trauma before it begins to compensate for it. The compensations often create more problems in the long run than the initial trauma itself!

If you can't get to your Bowen Therapist immediately, the sooner you can, the better. Within three days is ideal for optimal recovery.

Many people don't find out about Bowen Therapy until weeks, months, or even years of trying other approaches or learning to live with it.

If that's the case with you, you'll get the best results from Bowen if you:

✅ Don't have any other forms of bodywork for four days beforehand.
✅ Avoid heavy exercise on the day of your session.
✅ Don't use ice or heat on the site of injury.
✅ Wear or bring light-weight, loose-fitting clothing that your practitioner can work through. Or be prepared to be worked on in your underclothes, under sheets or blankets for modesty and comfort.
✅ Don't have any other forms of bodywork for five days after treatment to allow for your body to integrate the treatment uninterrupted.

I am delighted to announce my completion of the BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation course with a 2.1 grade of degree. The cohort of our alumni is the first one in Scotland, ready to aid the local health sector and communities. My achievement proves my hard work and dedication, especially considering other obstacles. As Shaw et al. (2022) have suggested autistic health professionals have the potential to improve the entire healthcare, I hope to be the one who would help set the new course.
My special thanks are to, Christine McAuliffe for her help and support during my studies. Her expertise in neurodiversity has aided me during breakdowns and meltdowns. She has been able to lift me when I needed it, making sure my academic performance was the best I was able to deliver. Maciej Kasperski Kasperski for his mental and spiritual aid and Judith Lane for mentoring and empathy. She showed the ability to manoeuvre between rigid rules, to promote equity, an important factor when dealing with neurodiversity.

My wife Wiola Suska for support and encouragement. Patience and blinking eye for a "dissertation den".
