🌳 It aims at celebrating and inspiring climate action.

The Edinburgh Climate Festival is a free, family friendly & community-led event taking place in Leith Links on Saturday from 12noon - 5pm 3rd September. Featuring performances, stalls, kids’ and adults’ activities, and loads more, this is not to be missed! Highlights of the festival include:
• Family/Kids area
• Market and stalls
• Background music
• Upcycling workshops
• Storytelling and arts and

craft
• Cycle ride
• Free clothes repairs
• Free bike repairs
• Big swap shop – bring along your clothes and books to swap!
• Free Yoga classes

We want to express the biggest thank you to everyone who joined us in the sun and through the wind this Saturday for yet another wonderful year of the Edinburgh Climate Festival! ☀️

🌻 A big shout out goes to our funders , and this year's supporters & for helping us make this event possible
🌳 A huge thank you to our whole team at ELREC, our working group volunteers and our partners at NKS, whose care and effort towards improving & growing the festival brought this edition of ECF to life
🌱 Thanks to our incredible stallholders for showcasing your inspiring climate work. And to our delicious food vendors for refuelling our visitors throughout the day!
✨ Huge thank you to our magnificent host .glamoor for brilliantly guiding us through the day
💃 An enormous thank you to all our fantastic performers, speakers & workshop leaders for sharing the spirit of the festival with everyone - and to all the amazing artists who helped bring colour and thought-provoking art installations to surround us on the day!
👏 A Massive thanks to all our amazing volunteers - this event would not have been possible without your help!
🚲 And a big thank you to everyone who helped us keep our stage running, through your amazing strength & pedal power!
🌿 Our heartfelt gratitude goes towards all of you who brought your own containers, participated in our raffle and helped us take steps towards reducing our festival's waste
🌲 And a special thank you to Out of the Blueprint, for helping us work towards becoming more sustainable by creating a beautiful Riso printed version of our posters!
🎉 And finally, an enormous thank you to all our attendees for joining us & dancing alongside us throughout the day!

The ECF is always a wonderful opportunity to unite our communities, celebrate our climate achievements, and promote sustainable living 🌍 We hope you left feeling inspired and continue to always channel your ability to both root & rise!

We have a challenging journey ahead, but together, with the power of communities, climate action, and solidarity, we can and will overcome this crisis! 💛

Join us for our free Rooted Reflections - photo frame making workshop running in the Edinburgh Climate Festival's Grow Tent (Eco-Marquee) from 2.30 to 3.20 pm this Saturday, 28th June at the Edinburgh Meadows! 🌼

Come along to this free workshop by Enlightened Connections, where you can create decorative photo-frame wall hangings using forest-foraged twigs, scrap fabrics, shells, beads, and other reclaimed materials. Each piece is crafted from items often overlooked or discarded — a celebration of what can be transformed when we see with new eyes! ✨

2025 Programme Confirmation 🎪

Join us for our free Qi Gong workshop running in the Edinburgh Climate Festival's Connect Tent (Wellbeing Area) from 3.30 to 4.30 pm this Saturday, 28th June at the Edinburgh Meadows! 🌼

Come along for a one-hour mindful movement workshop, delivered by Nadine Andrews, to help release stress, feel more energised, and in greater harmony and balance with ourselves, others and our surrounding nature. All are welcome, no previous experience is required!

We are so excited to share with you our beautiful Riso Printed Special Edition posters for this year's festival 🧡 A huge shoutout goes to the incredible team at Out of the Blueprint for all their amazing work adapting & printing these, helping us improve the sustainability of this year's event!

✨ Here is a little more about why Riso Printing is so cool & a bit more info from the Out of the Blueprint team:

Riso runs on vegetable-based ink made from rice bran oil (a byproduct of the food industry). In addition to this, the team only print on uncoated, recycled, FSC-approved paper, with a range of carbon-neutral options that are manufactured using wind power. Riso uses 90% less energy than standard photocopiers, has no VOCs or harmful emissions, and produces a minimal amount of waste. Plus, every print supports the local community, funding their work to support young artists through residencies, creative projects and subsidies 🎨
