✨ Work Experience Spotlight ✨
This week I’m shining a light on our lovely work experience students at GLO 💚

Today’s spotlight is on Poppy, who has been with us in the salon learning more about the beauty industry, observing treatments, helping with salon tasks and getting involved with the team.

Poppy has been so polite, eager to learn and a lovely addition to the salon this week ✨ She’s shown great enthusiasm and has fitted in really well already.

I love being able to support young people interested in the industry and help give them a little insight into salon life and what goes on behind the scenes 💚

We’re so excited to introduce Melony, a young and talented second-year student from Edinburgh College, who has been with us this past week and will be here until Saturday as part of her work experience.

As someone who started out as a work experience student myself many years ago at Bliss Spa, this is something really close to my heart. Gaining real, hands-on experience in a salon environment is absolutely invaluable. It builds confidence, develops skills, and gives a true feel for the industry that you just can’t get in a classroom alone.

At GLO, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation and giving students the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine in a real working salon.

We’re so proud to say Melony is now fully booked for the rest of the week, thank you all so much for your support.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing clients who have supported this by coming in for treatments this week. You’re not only supporting us, but helping shape someone’s future career, and that means everything.

🚧 CLIENT NOTICE – ROAD CLOSURE 🚧

Please note that Bernard Street is currently closed due to gas works and is expected to remain closed for around a fortnight.

If you’re travelling from Seafield, when you reach the traffic lights at the end of Baltic Street, turn right onto Constitution Street (where the Trams run). Continue along this road, then take the first left onto Tower Place. Pass the Malmaison Hotel and continue straight ahead towards the bridge.

Please allow a little extra time for your journey, as there may be delays.

What a lovely weekend celebrating our very belated Christmas day out (yes… 3 months late, but so worth it!! 🎄✨)

We enjoyed a city day tour in Edinburgh called Shadows of Old Town and honestly, what a great experience. So much history, so many stories and definitely a few sore feet by the end 😂 We managed over 20,000 steps in just 3.5 hours!

Of course, there had to be a few bakery stops (sorry, ate before any photos 😂 ) along the way… you know me, I can never resist a good food stop 🍰☕️
