Continuing with celebrating our wonderful nursing team following International Nurses Day, we'd like to say a big thank you to two of our wonderful night nurses, Celestina and Asha 💙

While most of the world sleeps, our night team continues to provide compassionate, person-centred care 24/7 — offering comfort, reassurance, and support throughout the night. Their dedication never goes unnoticed.

Celestina is an incredibly hardworking and dependable member of the team who consistently goes above and beyond for our residents. Her caring nature, calm approach, and strong work ethic make her someone both residents and staff can rely on during every shift.

Asha brings kindness and understanding into every aspect of her role. She is polite, approachable, and always treats residents with patience, dignity, and compassion. Her gentle approach and dedication to providing quality care truly make a difference.

We look forward to sharing our appreciation of our fantastic nursing team throughout the course of this week 😊

Jed is our unit manager for our nursing floor. Jeds priority is always ensuring the residents are safe and well cared for, supporting and leading the nursing team particularly for those new to Cairdean to which he has received amazing feedback for!

Nkosi is one of the day nurses on our dementia floor - her positive and person centred approach with our residents living with dementia is always commented on, and how she takes the time to know each resident as an individual. Nkosi likes to keep the home involved in activities, and make sure residents are always included!

Tomi is one of our new day nurses on our dementia floor, and is taking the time to get to know each resident and their wishes! She's not afraid to have a bit of fun, even joining in on our Cairdeans' Got Talent to entertain residents, visitors and colleagues!

We would like to notify all that our Understanding Dementia Event will be postponed. This was due to be hosted on Thursday 29th April 2pm here at Cairdean House. Apologies for this last minute change and hope you can attend at the new date. We will be in touch as soon as a new date is set.

Our ladies thoroughly enjoyed flower arranging in the garden yesterday afternoon! We got together and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine whilst arranging some beautiful blooms for the home. Thank you ladies!

We took full advantage of such a lovely day and went for a wonderful walk! Residents loved taking in the surroundings, enjoying the sunshine and spotting some beautiful wildlife and plants.

What a wonderful day at "Cairdean's Got Talent"! Residents, families and staff all came together to showcase their wonderful talents!
We thoroughly enjoyed performances such as gymnastics/dancing, Singing, Poetry and Pianist. Thank you all who took part and of course for our wonderful residents judges and audience! Fabulous fun!

It was lovely to be recognised in the support we have given Hibernian Women's Academy throughout this season. Leona Thomson, Customer Relations Manager received the Academy shirt's at their recent presentation evening, signed by the First team. We are very honoured to have the Academy showcasing as their strip sponsor.
