I've had times when I've given up in the middle of a work out.

I've had times when I've got through the door and turned right back around.

I've had times when I couldn't even get out the car.

And I've had times where I couldn't even get out of the door.

But I've always managed go get back into it when I felt ready.

This is quite a special one for me as Liam is a personal friend of mine and it’s an honour to be able to help him out.

We’ve been Fortnite battle-brothers for a long time and we’ve fought many hard fights together.

Conquering unwinnable odds in our squad against unrelenting enemies, carrying each other's injured bodies through the storm so we leave no man behind.

Hearing each other's cries of anger and frustration when some cheating pricks come along with their tiny weiners and absolutely rinses us.

We’ve had many epic wins and more dire losses than I care to share.

So it was an honour when he asked me to help him get in better shape.

He wasn’t in bad shape to begin with and he never struggled with too much body weight.

He just felt unhealthy and knackered all the time.

He wasn’t looking to get shredded, just to lean out a wee bit and not feel drained at the end of the day.

Now I know Liam personally, so I know how busy he is first hand having only getting a few hours of bro time with him a week.

We kept things simple and flexible as his job is in the food industry and is often eating out with clients as well as having a few planned events like a wedding and a family holiday to Disney World.

The really cool thing was once we got him lifting weights, he totally blew up and we quickly realised just how much potential he has.

We all have bad mornings but i bet you don't give yourself a black eye 🤣

I could have continued my tantrum and ruined my weekend.

But i went back and did the session, which meant I had regained control.

I even filmed the content, so while i wasted 45 mins, I managed to do what I'd set out to do.

Which meant I went into the weekend feeling great!

Dont let one bad moment ruin everything.

Comment or DM 'MASTERCLASS' to learn how I program my clients for muscle growth💪

It might not look like it but I've been lifting weights for a long time.

Despite my failed dreams of being a mass monster, I stuck it out because even with s**t genetics for building muscle, I could grow and not look like a st*****rs gstring 🤣

I've tried tons of different programs and coaching methods and these are what I feel works best for building muscle as a hard gainer.

Focusing on your strength as a metric for progress over how you look in the mirror as if you're consistently lifting heavier weights or doing more reps then you're building muscle.

When we focus on getting stronger, we need to take each set to failure, so we can't do another rep with the current weight.

If we're training to failure then we only need 2-3 sets per muscle group. 2 for more demanding exercises and 3 for smaller muscle groups.

If you're not feeling a bit sore or fatigued a few days after training then you can probably push harder in the gym.

While you shouldnt aim to cripple yourself, you should at least feel fatigued in the muscles you've trained.

The only way we can build muscle is through progressive overload so make sure aiming to either increase your weights or reps over 1-3 weeks.

I'm throwing my hands up and admitting I've terrible at hitting my goals.

I mean, of course I've hit many of the goals I've set myself over the years, just not quite in the timeframes I wanted 🤣

This year I want to do things differently because if nothing changes, then nothing changes 🧘‍♀️

So I'm sharing my goals for 2025 with everyone and documenting the process to hold myself more accountable.

Because the fear of looking like a failure in front of my clients and social media is a powerful tool sometimes.

Our Story

I was like you. I struggled with a negative mind set and full of self-doubt, not believing I could achieve what I wanted to. I believed that I wasn’t meant to be one of the happy guys that smashed every challenge they faced. I struggled to find the motivation to change, constantly stuck in the endless cycle of wanting to be better and improve myself but never actually doing it. Seems familiar, right? Well I’m here to tell you that the cycle can be broken.

To be a Viking now means to live by your values, to conquer your challenges and obviously to have an awesome beard! I’m here to help push you to build a physique you are proud of. I’m here to help you build your motivation and develop a strong, determined mind set. I’m here to help you become the Viking you want to be!
