💚We’ve had an incredible journey together at Forest Friday, and we aren’t ready for the adventure to end! To keep our sessions running and our community thriving, we are looking for more explorers to join our Trees and Seas family.

💚As we move into our next chapter, we are transitioning back to a sliding scale paid model. This ensures we can continue to pay our expert team fairly while keeping nature accessible to everyone - regardless of their budget.

💚Why Join Trees and Seas?

We believe every child deserves the chance to play and learn new skills outdoors. While other local forest schools often charge between £25 and £47.50 our sliding scale allows you to contribute what is realistic for your family.

💚How to Support & Sign Up

We are opening up spaces for new and returning families. To keep things fair and sustainable, we offer a tiered system -
🐞Pay what you can afford based on your unique circumstances.
🐞To ensure lower tiers remain available for those who truly need them, we do ask for proof of income/benefits for our subsidised spots.
🐞Every penny goes directly toward immediate operational costs and keeping the magic of Forest Friday alive.

💚 Nature should be accessible to everyone. We’ve worked hard to provide free sessions for as long as possible; we now ask for your honesty and support to help us survive and grow! Xx

💚Our new Gilmerton PS site offers the same high-quality Forest Friday experience you know and love. We are actively looking for more children to join us here to help this new community grow!

The VIP club have been blessed with being visited by Hamish the therapet dog. Each group has had two relaxing sessions with Hamish, learning how to touch and interact with a dog in a safe way. The amazing patience of Hamish brought calmness to the children.
Thank you to Anne for bringing Hamish along to meet our VIPs.

🌳 A Reminder About "Forests for All" 🌳
🌳This group is open to any child who needs additional support in an outdoor setting.
🌳 This is a very broad category, and you absolutely do not need a formal diagnosis for your child to join us.

Who is this for?
🌈Children with diagnosed needs like ADHD, Autism, or Down Syndrome.
🌈Children who may have undiagnosed developmental delays including learning difficulties
🌈 Children learning English as a Second Language (EAL).
🌈 Children who experience anxiety about social interactions or joining outdoor groups
🌈Or any diagnosis that impacts development

💚Essentially, if you feel your child could benefit from a supportive, inclusive outdoor environment, they are welcome.
💚While we welcome families from across the city and further afield, our current funding is specifically allocated to the South East of Edinburgh (specifically the EH16/EH17 postcode areas).
💚If you live outside of this impact area, we kindly ask for a donation, this supports our work with schools and local community events.
💚This session runs thanks to the support Thrive Outdoors and in collaboration with the The Very Inclusive Play Club & Bridgend Farmhouse
💚If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

🛖Please note as the weather gets cooler and wetter we have an amazing indoor Eco Bothy which we can use if needed!

🌈At the VIP club we teach skills that can be used anywhere by the children and families, skills to help the children be safe.
❤️The VIPs love our ' ready, steady, go...' games. Learning to listen, sign, to wait, to say 'go', we all run up the bothy and we use a stop sign to support them to learn when to stop ✋️.
🌈Its great fun, look how focused all the children are.
❤️We're so very proud of all the VIP's!
