To help ensure our pages are enjoyed by all, we have some simple house rules to remember. Here at Belron, we encourage you to comment and engage on our various social media pages and we respect everyone’s right to express their thoughts and opinions. However, to help ensure our pages are enjoyed by all, we have some simple house rules to remember when visiting:
• Be courteous – We want everyone to feel welcome so please think before you post and be considerate of others.
• Keep it clean – Nobody should feel offended by comments when they visit any of our social media pages, so we ask that you don’t swear or use language which could upset others (this includes the attempt to censor swear words with the use of symbols).
• Respect each other – The world would be a boring place if we all had the same opinion but please remember to treat others with kindness. We reserve the right to remove any posts which we deem unsuitable. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Abusive, threatening, offensive or violent language.
• Discriminatory comments regarding race, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity or political beliefs.
• Abuse directed to other users or personal attacks.
• Persistent negative and/or unconstructive comments that aim to provoke a response.
• Any posts that directly attack members of Taylor Wimpey staff by identifying individuals.
• Posts which contain sexually explicit content.
• Anything in violation of copyright or intellectual property rights.
• Unrelated or irrelevant posts.
• Advertisement of products or services of other businesses.
• Spam content including bulk messages or malicious links. We will also remove, block, report or ban any user who:
• Encourages others to post messages which fall into any of the categories above.
• Uses offensive images as their profile picture.
• Has an offensive user name.
• Repeatedly violates any of the above rules. We want you to feel like you can approach us on social media, and we are always happy to help if you reach out to us with an enquiry or complaint. However, if you violate any of our house rules or continuously ignore our offers of assistance in favour of repeatedly spamming our posts or channels with multiple messages, you may find that your comments are removed or access to our pages is withdrawn. We therefore ask that you please respect these guidelines and other users on our social media platforms. Belron reserves the right to make changes to these house rules at any time without prior notice.

This week sees the arrival of our highly anticipated Best of Belron 2024. 30 of our top technicians from across the world will come together at the MEO arena in Lisbon to showcase their technical prowess and exceptional skills during two days of intense vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration challenges. To qualify for the global competition, each technician will have already faced fierce opposition to win their national country title.

Over the two days, the competitors will demonstrate their knowledge of the ‘Belron Way of Fitting’ and attendees will experience first-hand the skills and the real care they take when they serve customers around the world.

Alongside the competition, we will host a world-class conference and exhibition area, bringing together more than 500 valued business and supplier partners. And our Belron experience areas will bring to life everything we do—from research and training to tools and products—to deliver the Belron difference.

We are happy to announce that Belron has reached a major milestone of 1000 electric cars and vans in our fleet! We still have a long way to go, but it is a significant achievement for us, and we are proud to be contributing to a cleaner and greener environment.

Switching to electric vehicles has been a strategic decision for us, and we are already seeing the benefits. Not only are we reducing our carbon footprint, but we are also saving on fuel costs and maintenance expenses. We believe that every business has a responsibility to reduce its impact on the environment, and we are committed to doing our part.

We are delighted to announce that Belron's® near and long-term net-zero emission reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The targets include:

• A 42% reduction across scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030
• A 25% reduction across scope 3 emissions by 2030
• A 90% reduction across scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2050
• Committing to reach net-zero GHG emissions across the value chain by 2050.

Our work to meet these targets includes using more renewable electricity, reducing vehicle emissions, and reducing emissions from our branches, distribution centres, warehouses, and offices. We also operate a “repair-first” policy because repairing vehicle glass generates less emissions than a replacement and we are working with suppliers to reduce the emissions intensity of the products we buy.

We will share regular updates on our progress in accordance with the SBTi’s guidelines.

This week (Tuesday 10 October) we celebrated World Mental Health Day. At Belron we have taken this opportunity to start a conversation - across the Belron family – about how we can help ourselves be at our best, how we can support each other when we’re not and how we make mental health an everyday conversation - it’s good to talk. Whether it's checking in on a friend, sharing your story, or simply being present, we believe it’s the small things that make a big difference.

We are delighted to share that thanks to the amazing efforts of everyone who took part in the Spirit of Belron Challenge 2023 we have raised an amazing €2.5m (so far) for Afrika Tikkun. This money will help to transform the lives of children and young people in some of the poorest parts of South Africa and we are privileged to be part of this change. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.

The Spirit of Belron Challenge ‘Day at Dorney’ is finally here. After months (or weeks!) of training our global colleagues will come to Dorney Lake in the UK to run, swim, walk or travel by wheelchair in our annual fundraising event.

This is our favourite day of the Belron calendar and we will come together today to have fun, support each other and most importantly raise funds for Afrika Tikkun

We are excited to share that the Spirit of Belron Challenge is back!

Every year all our colleagues across the globe come together to swim, run, walk, cycle or travel by wheelchair to help raise money for our long-standing charity partner Afrika Tikkun.

Afrika Tikkun helps transform the lives of 10,000s of children and young people in some of the poorest parts of South Africa.

Our Belron colleagues have been busy training and preparing and we are delighted to share the virtual challenge kicked off yesterday.
