Last week, we officially opened Audley Shiplake Meadows, our beautiful new retirement village just outside Henley-on-Thames. It was wonderful to welcome guests and owners to celebrate this special occasion alongside our CEO, Nick Sanderson and our very special guest, Dame Mary Berry.

Dame Mary Berry commented:
“It was such a joy to be part of Audley Shiplake Meadows’ official opening event. Having called this area home for the past seven years, I know the new homeowners will be very happy here. Moving from one Audley Village... to another!

For over five years, Mrs Addison has happily called Audley Ellerslie in Malvern home. Having lived in the area for much of her life, she enjoyed the security, comfort, and lifestyle that Audley villages are known for.

But family is never far from the heart. While visiting her son and his family in Leeds one Saturday, Mrs Addison enjoyed lunch at Audley Scarcroft Park. It was during that first visit that she asked to see the sales team, viewed a property, and instantly knew: this was where her next chapter should begin.

Earlier this month, Friday night fever arrived at Scarcroft Park 🪩

Our owners and leisure club members stepped back in time with a 60s, 70s, and 80s boogie night.

Guests were welcomed with Babycham reception drinks and a taste of the 80s classic, Chicken Kiev.

"The best thing about living here is the community spirit and the relationships. You make friends very quickly.

We have a lot of fun together, especially on a Friday night at our on-site cocktail bar… it has been known for one of the waiters to bring us back on a buggy if we’ve stayed out too late!”

The recent art show at Audley Scarcroft Park was a wonderful way to showcase the creativity within the community.

Dorothy, an owner at Scarcroft Park, was initially hesitant to exhibit her work, but agreed to share both her art and her thoughts on what the classes mean to her. She summed up perfectly what the art classes, led by Freda, aim to offer: a safe place for creativity and friendships.

The event has already sparked lots of interest in future classes, and Scarcroft Park looks forward to welcoming more owners to take part.
