📢 Client Notice – Policy Update

From Tuesday 5th May, we will be making an important update to our insurance claims process.

➡️ We will no longer be able to process direct insurance claims under £500.
➡️ For accounts under £500, payment will need to be settled at reception, and we will then assist you with submitting an indirect claim to your insurer.
➡️ For claims over £500, the usual direct claims process will continue as normal.

We understand changes like this can be an adjustment, and our team is always here to help guide you through the process and answer any questions.

Important Pet Travel Update for UK Owners!

New rules have come into force if you’re travelling with dogs, cats and ferrets from Great Britain to the EU.

EU issued pet passports will no longer be valid for GB residents, even if they were issued prior to 22 April 2026. You will now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for each trip to the EU.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who are the heart of every veterinary practice – our receptionists 💙🐾

From the moment you walk through the door or pick up the phone, they’re there with a friendly face, a calming voice, and a willingness to help no matter what the day brings. Whether it’s comforting worried pet owners, managing busy appointment books, or juggling emergencies with compassion and care, they truly do it all.

Veterinary receptionists are often the first point of contact and the last friendly goodbye – and everything in between. Their kindness, patience, and dedication never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything they do for our team, our clients, and their beloved pets.

Join us in saying a huge THANK YOU to our amazing reception team this Veterinary Receptionist Week – we appreciate you more than words can say! 💐🐶🐱

🐾💙 Give Your Pet the Care They Deserve – All Year Round 💙🐾

Keeping your pet happy and healthy shouldn’t be a worry – and with our Healthcare Plan, it doesn’t have to be.

Our plan is designed to spread the cost of your pet’s routine care into simple monthly payments, making it easier to stay on top of their health while avoiding unexpected bills.

✨ What’s included?
• Annual vaccinations
• Regular health checks
• Flea, tick & worming treatments
• Exclusive discounts on selected treatments and services

It’s not just about saving money – it’s about preventative care, catching problems early, and giving your pet the best quality of life.

Whether you’ve got a playful puppy, a curious cat, or a golden oldie, our Healthcare Plan is tailored to support them at every stage 🐶🐱

📞 Speak to our team today or pop into practice to find out more and get signed up!

Because when it comes to your pet’s health, prevention really is better than cure 💚🐾

15/04/2026

Please note that due to a signal issue in and around the Englefield Green and Egham areas, we are currently experiencing intermittent problems with our phone lines.

If you are unable to get through, please feel free to email us or visit the practice in person, and our team will be happy to assist with any queries.

We will, of course, keep everyone updated once the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for your understanding.

🍫🐾 Post-Easter Reminder: Chocolate & Pets Don’t Mix! 🐾🍫

With Easter just behind us, many homes still have chocolate treats tucked away – but it’s important to remember that chocolate can be toxic to our pets, especially dogs.

Chocolate contains theobromine, which pets can’t process the way humans can. Even small amounts can cause symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, restlessness, increased heart rate, and in severe cases, seizures.

⚠️ Please keep all chocolate safely out of reach, including:
• Easter eggs and gift boxes
• Chocolate wrappers (they can still contain residue!)
• Baked goods containing cocoa

If you think your pet may have eaten chocolate, don’t wait – contact your vet straight away. The sooner treatment is started, the better the outcome.

Let’s keep our furry friends safe while we enjoy the last of the Easter treats 💛🐶🐱

If you’re unsure, give us a call – we’re always here to help.

⭐ Meet the Team – Régan! ⭐

Régan is the newest member of our team and has made a wonderful first impression since joining us. She has settled in quickly and is already becoming a valued part of the practice, bringing a warm and approachable presence to the front of house.

In her role, Régan is focused on creating a positive experience for every client who walks through the door. Her natural ability to connect with people, combined with her enthusiasm for learning, means she’s already making a real difference to the practice.

Outside of work, Régan enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as making the most of her free time exploring and trying new things. 🐾

We’re so pleased to have Régan as part of our team. 💙
