🌞 Nature turned our day into pure joy! 🌿💚

There’s something magical about stepping outside and letting nature wake up all your senses. Today at Virginia Water Lake, the trees were showing off — blossoms everywhere, colours popping, sunshine sparkling on the water like it was putting on a show just for us. 🌸🌳✨

Birds were tweeting their little hearts out, the breeze was warm, and honestly… we couldn’t stop smiling. This is what happiness looks like — reconnecting with nature and feeling that joy spread across everyone’s faces. 😊💛

We even collected some natural treasures along the way — sticks, leaves, petals, textures — all ready to be transformed into art. 🎨🍃 Next stop: Savill Garden, where we’re going full “rooted in nature” and creating with nothing but what the earth gifted us today.

A day of sunshine, creativity, and nature’s magic. What more could we ask for? 🌿🌞💫

Sunday, was all about love, laughter, and bringing families together. We kicked off the celebrations with some delicious pre‑lunch canapés — little bites of happiness that set the perfect tone for a beautiful Sunday. 🥂✨

Seeing families gathered, sharing stories, smiling, and enjoying each other’s company made the day truly special. Moments like these remind us how precious togetherness is — and how wonderful it feels to celebrate the amazing mums in our lives. 💛

What a beautiful celebration it was. Our wonderful catering team truly outdid themselves, creating a meal that felt every bit as special as the occasion. Thoughtful flavours, gorgeous presentation, and that unmistakable touch of care made the day shine for everyone.

Moments like these remind us how much love and teamwork sit at the heart of our home — and how food can bring comfort, connection, and joy to the table.

As it’s National Nutrition and Hydration Week, we wanted to highlight just how important this is for our residents. ☕️

At Rivermede Court Care Home , we have hydration stations where residents can help themselves throughout the day, offering a variety of hot and cold drinks, along with both healthy and sweet treats.
In between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, our carers also offer refreshments at 11am and take around a lovely afternoon tea trolley at 3pm.

Staying well hydrated is especially important for older adults, as it helps prevent infections, reduces the risk of falls, supports digestion, and keeps both body and mind functioning well. Even mild dehydration can have a big impact, so we encourage regular drinks little and often throughout the day. 😊

Rivermede Court Care Home is proud to be the first care home to officially sign up for the Moveball Senior & Dementia Care Community World Cup, in partnership with Moveball and Mark Howell 🙌
This exciting initiative is all about bringing the spirit of the World Cup to our residents in a way that’s active, inclusive, and full of fun — not just watching from the sidelines, but truly being part of it.
We’re delighted to be joining as a founding member and can’t wait to see how this grows over the coming months. It’s a fantastic opportunity to promote wellbeing, connection, and joy through sport and community.

Our amazing catering team truly outdid themselves today, preparing a delicious Mother’s Day lunch that was enjoyed by all. From the beautifully presented plates to the rich, comforting flavours, every dish was made with care, creativity, and a whole lot of love.

The dining room was filled with happy faces, lively conversation, and that wonderful sense of togetherness that makes days like this so special.
