Savill Garden junior parkrun

Free, monthly, timed 2k parkrun for 4-14 year olds. They are open to all and are safe and easy to take part in.

junior parkrun is a series of 2k runs for children aged between 4 and 14. They are held in areas of open space around the country. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. If you are not a junior please come along to one of our weekly Saturday parkrun events instead.

166 x finishers... 58 x PBs... 23 x 1st timers... 12 x 1st time visitors...20 x volunteers... the numbers say it all - Savill Garden junior parkrun was the place to be this morning! 😍😍😍

It's May and we are back!
And whilst we may not have a ribbon covered pole for us to dance around, we do have the magnificent Obelisk at the top of the hill!!

Hoppy Easter everyone!🐇
It was fabulous to see you all this morning, from the speedy PB smashing ones at the front, middle and back through to our Easter Chick having a party at the rear... it was truly joyful 😁😁😁

Happy St David's Day!
What a fantastic morning, the sun came out (briefly), spring was in the air 🌞 and there was a buzz of excitement as 132 made your way around the course...which led to lots of new PBs, amazing! 👏

And how many of your spotted our special guest? The Body Coach thanks for joining us, Indie and Marley we will see you again soon!

Next month's event is on Easter Sunday, see you all there then for some eggcellent fun! 🐰 🐣

Thank you to all our volunteers who braved the cold 🥶 this morning for our amazing 76 who ventured around the course! It was a fantastic way to start 2026 🥳

🥶🥶🥶Due to the forecasted freezing weather, we will be doing a course check for ice at 8.15am on Sunday morning. If we have to cancel will let everyone know via our page. 🥶🥶🥶

We are back THIS Sunday 4th January and can't wait to see you all!!

The December drizzle seems to have caused a dip in attendance, so well done to the hardy souls who joined us for our final junior parkrun of 2025! We hope you enjoyed our festive fun and dress up.

We had some children reaching milestones today!

Full Marathon (21 junior parkruns):
Emily Dobbyn and Doug Talbot hit the magic 21 junior parkruns today to complete their marathons!

Half Marathon (11 junior parkruns):
Oliver Baldey reached his first milestone today! Only 10 to go until the next one.

We had 5 children doing their first ever junior parkrun - very well done, we hope to see you next time! There were another 6 children visiting Savill Garden for the first time too.

We all know parkrun is a run not a race and one of our rules is to have fun, but even so 18 children improved on previous efforts to register a PB - keep up the good work.

Our runniest junior runner was Rafi Cooper who’s done an amazing 206 junior parkruns and counting!
