Savill Garden junior parkrun

The December drizzle seems to have caused a dip in attendance, so well done to the hardy souls who joined us for our final junior parkrun of 2025! We hope you enjoyed our festive fun and dress up.

We had some children reaching milestones today!

Full Marathon (21 junior parkruns):
Emily Dobbyn and Doug Talbot hit the magic 21 junior parkruns today to complete their marathons!

Half Marathon (11 junior parkruns):
Oliver Baldey reached his first milestone today! Only 10 to go until the next one.

We had 5 children doing their first ever junior parkrun - very well done, we hope to see you next time! There were another 6 children visiting Savill Garden for the first time too.

We all know parkrun is a run not a race and one of our rules is to have fun, but even so 18 children improved on previous efforts to register a PB - keep up the good work.

Our runniest junior runner was Rafi Cooper who’s done an amazing 206 junior parkruns and counting!

It's December and we are back to celebrate all things Christmas... so grab your tinsel, Christmas jumpers and hats and join us in the carpark for a festive warm up just before 9am!

We are a couple of Elves short around the course, so please shout out loud and clear if you can bring even more cheer 🎅🎄🎄🎄🤶

Savill juniors is back on this coming Sunday and it's our annual Halloween run, so please feel free to dress up in your spookiest costumes!

Happy 13th Birthday to us... although I am not sure that the grumpy teenagers appreciated being made a fuss of!!

Today was a fabulous day of celebration, not only were there an amazing 145 of you ...
Zoe returned to run her final ever junior parkrun as she turns 15 next week... having run her 1st parkrun after just turning 4 at Savill Garden, she is now representing England 🏃‍♀️.. our volunteers were also hitting incredible milestones:
John Scally has now volunteered 100 times at Savill Garden junior parkrun 👏
And Andy Scott has reached the incredibly dizzy heights of 700 times volunteering at parkrun UK 😮

And it doesn't stop there, next month we continue the celebrations as it will be our 13th Birthday... yes we are becoming a teenager! So the theme is anything teenager...Mutant Turtles; Sabrina; Spiderman; Kevin & Perry or anyone who is a teenager!

Hooray it's the first weekend in August and we are back tomorrow... see you in the morning at 8.50am for the warm up!
