Tonight, my feet are up.
Sitting and thinking… I spent 39 years in youth work. I loved most of it, and I had so much energy working with young people.
As I slouch on the couch now, I realise I don’t think I ever felt this exhausted at the end of a working week, but I also don’t think I ever felt this fulfilled during those years either.
What a blessing. Knackered or not. ❤️

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ronnie, who passed away at Dr. Gray’s Hospital, Elgin on Thursday, 5th February, 2026, aged 83 years, with his family by his side. A proud Queen’s Own Highlander and a much loved husband, dad, stepdad, granda, great granda, brother, uncle and great friend to many. Ronnie will be deeply missed. A celebration of Ronnie’s life, to which all are welcome, will be held at 1pm, on Tuesday, February 24th, in Graham J. Rattray’s Funeral Home, Shore Street, Lossiemouth, IV31 6PB and thereafter to Elgin cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis can be made at the funeral home door, if desired. Attendees are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

Suddenly at home in Kilsyth, on Monday 12th January 2026, Barrie (Hamish) aged 51 years. Much loved son of Alex and Anita, big brother to Iain, Brian and Irene, loving partner to Vicky, loved grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Funeral service will be held at W.G. Catto Funeral Home, Linkwood Road, Elgin, IV30 6RE, on Friday 20th February at 3pm. All family and friends respectfully invited. The family also welcome people attending to wear a splash of green and white. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired to Quarriers Arrows Service.

Funeral service, to which all are respectfully invited, in Steven Thomson and Son, Funeral Home, Clifton Road, Lossiemouth, on Friday, 20th February , at 1.30p.m., thereafter cremation private. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired, may be given at the service, to Marie Curie.
