Testicular ultrasound scans aren’t only used to investigate lumps.

They’re also used to look at how blood is flowing within the testicles, which can help assess conditions such as torsion or circulation issues. Ultrasound can identify signs of inflammation or infection, including epididymitis or orchitis, and can show fluid build-up around the testicle, such as a hydrocele.

In some cases, a testicular ultrasound is used as part of follow-up after treatment, surgery or injury, helping to monitor changes over time and provide clearer information for ongoing care.

The scan uses sound waves to create real-time images, allowing the sonographer to assess the structure of the testicles and surrounding tissue in detail. While we don’t diagnose, we provide a clear, detailed report that can be shared with your GP or healthcare provider to support next steps if needed.

Appointments are carried out with professionalism and discretion, in a calm, private setting.

This is something we hear from patients more often than you might think.

Pelvic symptoms can show up in lots of different ways, and they’re often quite subtle. Changes in your cycle, ongoing discomfort, a feeling of pressure or bloating, or something that just doesn’t feel the same as it used to.

Because these symptoms are so personal, many people put them to one side or tell themselves they’ll look into it later. Others simply want to understand what’s going on, rather than guessing or carrying unanswered questions in the background.

A pelvic ultrasound scan offers a safe, non-invasive way to assess the pelvic area and gather clearer information. You don’t need a GP referral to book, and while we don’t diagnose, we provide a detailed report that can be shared with your GP or healthcare provider if you choose to.

Listening to your body doesn’t always mean acting straight away. Sometimes it just means giving yourself the option to understand things a little better, when the time feels right.

Testicular pain doesn’t always mean there’s a lump - in fact, there are several possible causes, and not all of them are serious.

Pain or discomfort in the testicles might be due to inflammation (epididymitis), fluid build-up (hydrocele), infection, or even torsion (a twisting of the testicle that requires urgent treatment).

A testicular ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive way to assess what’s going on. It checks for blood flow, fluid, swelling, and soft tissue changes - giving valuable insight into what might be causing your symptoms.

If you’ve noticed a sharp pain, swelling, heaviness, or discomfort, don’t wait and wonder - booking a scan could help put your mind at ease.
📍 Reports are provided on the day and can be shared with your GP.

If you’re feeling a bit nervous about coming for an ultrasound scan, that’s completely understandable. A lot of people feel that way, especially if it’s their first time or if they’ve been worrying quietly about something for a while.

At Moray Ultrasound, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. That’s why you’re very welcome to bring a partner, friend or family member along with you for support. There’s no pressure to come alone, and no expectation that you have to feel “fine” about it.

Our private ultrasound scans are carried out in a calm, supportive setting, with time to explain what’s happening and answer any questions along the way. You don’t need a GP referral to book, and while we don’t diagnose, we provide a detailed report that can be shared with your GP or healthcare provider if needed.

Your comfort matters just as much as the scan itself.

If you’re finding yourself Googling symptoms late at night because you’re not quite ready to talk to anyone about it, you’re not alone.

Sometimes it’s easier to search quietly than to say things out loud, especially when what you’ve noticed feels personal, uncertain, or like something you don’t want to worry other people with. Maybe it's a change you’ve been sitting with for a while, a bit of discomfort that hasn’t gone away, or something that just feels different to normal.

Bladder changes, abdominal discomfort, pelvic symptoms or unexplained aches are all things people often look up long before they mention them to friends or family. Not because they’re dramatic, but because speaking them out loud can make them feel more real.

What many people don’t realise is that you don’t have to wait or feel “bad enough” to act. You can book a private ultrasound scan without a GP referral, as a simple, non-invasive way to get clearer information. While we don’t diagnose, we provide a detailed report that can be shared with your GP or healthcare provider if you choose to.

Most of us are very good at adapting. We get used to small changes, mild discomfort, or things that feel a bit inconvenient but not serious enough to act on, and before we know it, they’ve just become part of everyday life.

Bladder symptoms can be like that, and changes in frequency, urgency, discomfort or control often creep in gradually, which makes them easy to ignore.

While everyday habits can help support bladder health, ongoing changes are worth paying attention to. An ultrasound scan can help assess the bladder and surrounding organs in a safe, non-invasive way.

You don’t need a GP referral to book, and although we don’t diagnose, we provide a detailed report that can be shared with your GP if needed.

If something has started to feel different, it’s okay to pause and check in with your health.

This is a question we hear all the time.

It might be a niggling ache, a change you’ve noticed for a while, or just something that doesn’t hurt but doesn’t feel quite right either. Nothing urgent, nothing dramatic, just something you keep coming back to in your mind.

Most people don’t come for an ultrasound because they’re in pain or expecting bad news, they come because they want clarity and reassurance, and that's what we're here for.

An ultrasound scan is a safe, non-invasive way to look at what’s going on inside the body, whether that’s the abdomen, kidneys, pelvis, or prostate.

You don’t need a GP referral to book, and while we don’t diagnose, we provide a detailed report that can be shared with your GP or healthcare provider if needed.

And please be reassured that you’re not wasting anyone’s time by wanting to check.

If something has been on your mind, it’s okay to listen to that feeling.

Living with ongoing pelvic pain or period-related symptoms can be exhausting, especially when it’s hard to explain exactly what you’re experiencing.

Endometriosis is one of several conditions that can affect the pelvis, and while ultrasound can’t diagnose it on its own, imaging can play an important role in understanding what’s happening and supporting further conversations with your GP.

Having clear information can help you feel more confident about next steps, whether that’s monitoring symptoms or seeking further care.

An endometrial thickness scan is a type of pelvic ultrasound that measures the lining of the womb (endometrium).

This scan can help explain symptoms such as:
• Irregular or heavy bleeding
• Postmenopausal bleeding
• Bleeding between periods

It’s also commonly used for monitoring during fertility treatment or hormone therapy (HRT).

The scan is quick, non-invasive, and provides valuable insight for you and your doctor.
