After a super busy week, that’s us all on our Summer hols now! ☀️🎉

It was great pre-holiday week as we celebrated being 6 years in business at LGEyecare on Wednesday!
Thankyou so much for keeping us here doing what we love and for all the yummy goodies and beautiful flowers that we were very kindly given! 🌺🧁

We're taking a wee break! 🌴

The Practice will be closed for annual leave for one week from Monday 21st July until Tuesday 29th July when we'll be back in to Practice from 9am. 👓
Donna, Mark, Liam, Katie, Kathryn and Sarah have been working their socks off lately (thanks to you our amazing customers!), so it's time for a bit of a rest and some relaxation). 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

If you have an eye emergency while we're away, please contact another local Practice and they will triage and provide assistance as required.
For anything urgent that's out of hours, you can call NHS 24 on 111.

👓Welcome back, Sarah 👋🏻

We're absolutely delighted to have Sarah back in the Practice with us over the Summer.
Many of you will remember Sarah as one of our fantastic Optical Assistants - and now she's well on her way to becoming an Optometrist herself! 👀👓✨

Sarah left us last year to begin her studies in Optometry at University, and we're so proud to share that she's successfully completed her first year and is loving the course so far! 👏
She'll be working with us a few days a week throughout the Summer, so if you're in for an appointment or popping by to choose new glasses, be sure to say Hello and catch up!

👓 Heads up from your favourite Eye-Crew 👓

This Wednesday 21st May we'll be trading glasses for notepads as we take a day out for Staff Training. No Eye Tests, No frames, just a whole lot of learning! 📚🗒🖊👓👀

Thanks for your patience while we finely tune our knowledge and skills.

Got a wee surprise earlier in the week on our doorstep from the fabulous in the form of some Lloyd Griffiths Eyecare personalised pencils!

The most stylish man in 32 South Street decided to model them for everyone and even managed to fulfil his lifelong ambition of growing a sweet moustache 🥸🤣

The practice was closed yesterday to allow the team at LG Eyecare to attend Emergency First Aid at Work course. This course was brought to us by the tremendous Dawn who guided us skilfully with a laid back approach throughout to alleviate any concerns. Her knowledge and experience was second to none!

Although these photos would appear that we just had a laugh all day, we have all learned so much from the course (albeit we would rather not have to put it into practice at work!). We would recommend this course to any business looking to upskill or learn first aid at work!

🆘ADVANCE NOTICE PRACTICE CLOSURE FOR STAFF TRAINING 23/04/25 🆘

The Practice will be closed on WEDNESDAY 23rd APRIL 2025 to allow all staff to attend a First Aid Training Day.
Although we hope we'll never need to use these skills in practice, we feel it's vital for us all to be equipped to do so if required.
If you require Emergency eyecare when we are closed, please call another Practice and they will advise.
We'll be open again as normal on Thursday 24th April at 9am. 👓

🌸 SPRING BREAK ALERT 🌸

It's that time of year when we press the pause button and take a much needed break from work.
The Practice will be closed for a wee holiday from Monday 7th April and will re-open on Tuesday 15th April at 9am.

The majority of us will be enjoying a bit of downtime and a variety of activities with our families so we're keeping our fingers crossed for some lovely Spring sunshine.🤞🏼☀
Then there's our Dynamic Dispensing Optician Duo Mark and Liam who have decided that a restful week off work needed to be completed with the MOST impressive holiday activity-🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻 they're both running the Moray Marathon on Sunday 13th April...and will only have one recovery day before they're back to work on the Tuesday heroically limping their way through your glasses fittings!
Good luck guys-we know you'll both smash it! 🏅🏅
