Hey everyone.

Turns out I've not been so good at self promotion. I'd much rather elevate and support others, I find that much easier.

Having said that after nearly ten years of teaching yoga amounting to some 10,000 hours of teaching experience, from a spare room in our home, to local village halls and gyms, to the current Elgin Yoga Centre in Batchen Street Elgin I am going to give the process another go.

I teach Yoga beginners classes mostly, some of those students have been attending for several years!! I'm not sure they are beginners anymore - but they realise what a class is called isn't important, it's the process. The process remans the same. We turn up with a blank canvas each time, a beginners mind, and we simply enquire, with our breath as our guide.
I also teach all levels Yoga classes, but as I said the name of class isn't so important. The process remains the same.
In each class I hope to give each student helpful principals, skills, guidance and confidence that will encourage and develop self practice.

Hello everyone

You may remember earlier in the year we were awarded funding from Moray Local Action Group to run bespoke workshops introducing Yoga to a wider community in Moray.

Having learned from our experience and consulting with our students and partner organisations, we put together another application to further evolve our contribution to the folk of Moray.

We are very pleased to announce that we were successful in our application and have been awarded funds allowing us to provide a Yoga class per voucher.

We have 50 vouchers to share with our local partners and the people they support.

We have already distributed 15 vouchers with North Guildry House Sacro and a number of vouchers with individuals.

This will enhance our outreach into the community and will help bolster the relationships that we have already forged.

A huge thank to the Moray Local Action Group and to Third Sector Interface Moray for their support and hard work.

Here at EYC we believe that Yoga can be of benefit to individuals and as a result, our community. We can help support each other, and raise each other to develop our potential.

Where we can help overcome barriers to attendance we will strive to do so. Financial, social anxiety, recovery, isolation, to mention but a few, needn't become a block to anyone accessing a supportive environment where one can have a practice that time and time again lets people know there can be a meaningful connection with ourselves, and each other.
