We are aware of a new business called Moray Shine Hub from the Forres area who appear to specialise in motorcycles. There has been a little bit of confusion from a small number of customers, due to their trading name, but we have no affiliation to them. 👍

Here at Moray Shine, we provide services of caravan / motorhome washes, exterior polishing, and Premium interior valets for our customers.

On an exterior polish, the vehicle is firstly washed, then decontaminated to remove anything stuck to it that shouldn't be, locker seals cleaned, inside of front gas locker cleaned, wheels cleaned, etc.

Then I machine polish the vehicle, to remove oxidisation, etc. Depending on how bad this is, it may take several stages to bring the vehicle back to life!
The compounds I use contain a percentage of wax within them, but additional coatings can also be applied to customer requirements.

We polish behind the windows, grab handles, etc, etc as well.
Depending on how badly it is faded, this process can take between 25 and 50 hours work.

Usually the worst vehicles have had covers on them over winter, or on front panels, which do sweat and flap around causing scuffs and fading and these require substantial work to remedy.

Caravan and motorhome covers of any description are a valeter's nightmare!!

Here are a few facts on caravan / motorhome washes,...

A wash will not remove streaking from the roof or windows,..these need to be polished out. (If the vehicle is heavily faded, polishing only the streaks actually makes the vehicle look worse)!

A wash from us includes the roof, hatches, and behind the windows, and we never use a pressure washer.

Garden fence paint spots, ( you would be surprised as to how common this is), will not come off with a general wash,..they need to be treated as contamination.

Awning rails get cleaned to remove spiders, dirt, etc.

Locker door seals are cleaned along with wheels.

We do not compete on price, ...we focus on a fixed price quality service for our customers who appreciate the attention to detail we offer.

As an example,...the last motorhome wash was on a 23 year old vehicle, and the roof alone took 7 hours to wash!

I am a vehicle valeter & detailer based beside Elgin in Morayshire, NE Scotland.

I clean and polish vehicles for customers that have pre-booked my services in advance. Quotations are free, and services range in price depending on the customer requirements, and size or type of the vehicle.

My services range from a basic interior valet, right through to a full paint correction treatment of your vehicle, which can take from 1 day up to about 5 days work.
