Funeral service to be held at Holy Trinity Church, Elgin, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 13:30pm and thereafter to Elgin Cemetery. Much loved mum of Claire and Gary, adored mother-in-law of Gordon and Karen, and a one-in-a-million granny to Emma, Craig, Isla, Lewis and Connie. A special sister to Irene, Evelyn and the late James, a dear auntie, and a friend to many.

Both Andy (16th October 2025, at Dr Gray`s Hospital, Elgin) and Carolyn (20th October 2025, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary) passed peacefully, surrounded by family, Andy was 66 yrs and Carolyn was 64 yrs. Andy and Carolyn would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on the 1st December 2025.They were married on Carolyn’s 40th Birthday, (1st December 2000) and though they may not be here to celebrate with us, we will still celebrate this milestone for them. They were a true story of love at first sight, only having met each other 4 days earlier at the Milton Inn when Andy showed up on Carolyn’s doorstep and moved in, the rest is history. Separated only by 4 days, both of them always said “If the other goes, I won’t be far behind” and they made good on their promise, proof that nothing could keep them apart for long and W.G. Catto Funeral Directors have agreed that their funerals will be held together as one event to honour their bond together. Their funeral service will be held on Tuesday 11th November at 11am, at W.G. Catto Funeral Chapel, Linkwood Road, Elgin. All family and friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations if desired in aid of Local Charities.

Peacefully, at home and surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Edward (Eddie), aged 84 years. Loving husband of Mhari, much loved father of Gillian and Allison, devoted grandfather to Chris, Jess, Jake, Mel and Dale, and proud great-grandad to Riley and Alessa. A good friend to many.
Eddie worked with the Scottish Hydro for over 30 years before running his own blacksmith business, “Eddie Smith the Blacksmith”, for more than 15 years. His gates and railings can be found all around Elgin, and he was very proud of his craft.

“Here’s a house measure of Grouse on you, Ed — an Eddie drammie x.”

Funeral private at Eddie’s own request, However Family and friends are warmly invited to a celebratory afternoon in Eddie’s memory at the Elgin Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Saturday, November 15, at 1pm.
