Our team recently completed a Moving and Handling refresher to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in safely supporting individuals with mobility needs.

The training covered safe moving and handling techniques, the correct use of equipment, and approaches that help maintain the comfort, dignity, and safety of the people we support.

Regular refresher training helps ensure our staff continue to follow best practices and provide safe, high-quality care at all times.

Before our moving and handling training, our team took part in a ‘Leading the Blind’ exercise designed to highlight the importance of trust and clear communication when supporting others.

Staff took turns guiding and being guided while unable to see, relying entirely on strong communication and trust.

The exercise helped demonstrate how important communication and trust are in moving and handling, where the people we support rely on us to guide and assist them safely.

At T & I Professional Services, we prioritise training, knowledge, and effective communication to ensure the people we support receive safe, confident, and person-centred care.
