This summer 🌞, Joe Wicks is launching a new animated physical activity series, Activate - which aims to address childhood inactivity by getting kids moving and having fun.
🏆Activate is full of high-energy, fun, 5-minute workout ‘Challenges’ to keep kids active.

We are super lucky to have our own Care Coordinator here at Bankfield Surgery!

🌟 Did you know? We have Care Coordinators at all of our member GP practices! 🌟

Our Care Coordinators are here to help you navigate your healthcare — from booking appointments and managing referrals to supporting you with long-term health conditions and coordinating your care with other services. They work closely with your GP and the whole team to make sure you get the right support, at the right time.
If you need extra help or have questions about your care, our Care Coordinators are ready to listen and assist.

We are very pleased to say that 94% of our patients seen during June said that they thought our service was either good or very good 😊

Please see the Mounjaro update below

We’ve heard there’s a lot of talk about Mounjaro recently, so here’s a quick update to help you understand:

⚠️ At present, Mounjaro is still a “red-list” drug, meaning it cannot be prescribed at your GP practice.

Once we receive further guidance and approval, it will be available to a small number of patients who meet strict NHS rules.

⚕️ Mounjaro is a new medicine being offered in a few GP practices to support people living with obesity.
⚖️ To qualify, you need a BMI of 40 or higher and at least four serious health problems related to weight.
🏃‍♂️🍎 Patients must join a support programme in that includes healthy eating and exercise advice.

❗️ At this moment in time, we ask that you DO NOT contact your GP surgery in regards to the Mounjaro injection.
