This is the start of the vision we are working on within Great Sutton Medical Centre. Where patients can attend the site, speak to a professional about employment, get their bloods, speak to a car co-ordinator to get ongoing continuity of care and access on site facilities to help with social and community wellbeing.

You are eligible for a COVID vaccination this Spring if you are:

⭐Aged 75 years and over, aged 74 but turn 75 before the 30th June 2026

⭐Aged 6m to 74 years and immuno-compromised due to an illness, medication, or treatment

⭐Residents in a care home for older adults | this group of patients will be cared for by their registered GP Practice.

All clinics are walk-in, so you are free to attend at your convenience, if eligible.

Community Orchard update - The trees planted last year continue to settle and are starting to bloom. Our amazing scouts also planted the next lot of trees last week.

Highlighting this great activity organised in partnership between ourselves and Chester Zoo This is another opportunity to engage with local wildlife and hear from the great and knowledgeable staff from the zoo. All welcome and the weather is supposed to be lovely. Remember there are so many ways to stay healthy and active.

Did you come down to join the bug hotel build as part of the practices networks for nature project with Chester Zoo? If you did please let us know if you enjoyed it and please share your pictures. We also have the next session planned in a week on Saturday with more great activities. Everyone welcome to come down and join part of our amazing healthy community.

Chester Zoo event -10th April: ‘Greening Great Sutton’ event, attended by 18 children and 13 adults. We collaboratively built a bug hotel using reclaimed materials from the zoo site (using an old zoo litter bin for the structure), which will be a permanent structure on the site, as recommended by Sally Hall’s baseline ecological survey and report. Children also participated in a bug hunt, learning how to use sweep nets, beating trays and identify insects using FSC guides. They also made miniature bug hotels out of take away soup pots to take home and use in their own outdoor space. These events are intended not only to enhance the green space at the GP practice but also to build relationships with the community with the hope of creating a new community group that will support and welcome individuals who wish to participate in such activities through the green social prescribing pathway.

As we continue to see a large number of new registrations we are constantly looking to review our performance. As always there are things as a practice we can improve on. However the experience in practice seems to be improving for patients and that is something we are very happy to see. Here is an unedited photo of the most recent responses for our service and it is pleasing for us to hear. Don't get us wrong there are still lots of things to develop and improve but sometimes its good to take stock of our current position.
