Today at Sovereign Court, clients participated in a lentil soup–making activity where they learned about healthy eating and the nutritional benefits of lentils. Staff provided printed information explaining the benefits of including lentils in a balanced diet, such as being rich in protein, fibre, and essential vitamins.
Clients actively took part in preparing the soup and enjoyed the opportunity to develop their cooking skills while socialising with others. After the activity, everyone enjoyed a warm bowl of lentil soup served with a fresh salad and bread, which made the session both enjoyable and nutritious.
The activity promoted healthy lifestyle choices, independence, and social interaction, and clients expressed that they really enjoyed the experience. 🥣🥗🍞
