Super proud of this one, dressing on toes changed not even a flinch, and they dont look very nice at the moment. When I tell people she has a high pain threshold people actually dont believe me how much she can handle!

She literally is the bravest of them all! Toe nail surgery on both feet with just local anesthetic!! I am so proud ❤️

Hi, I am Danni, the founder of Blades Down.

I want to take a moment to introduce myself and explain why this work matters so much to me.

Blades Down was created from lived experience, not statistics or headlines. I have seen first hand the impact that violence, trauma and lack of support can have on young people, families and whole communities. Once you witness that, you cannot unsee it. You either turn away or you step up. I chose to step up.

I do this work because I genuinely care about young people. I believe they deserve safety, opportunity, guidance and adults who show up for them without judgement. I believe early support, honest conversations and practical life skills can change outcomes. I believe prevention is always more powerful than punishment.

For me, Blades Down has never been about payment or recognition. I do not receive any payment for this work. It is something I do because I am passionate about supporting young people and helping create change where it is needed most. I pour all of my free time into this work, often sacrificing socialising and self care, because the thought of a young person becoming a victim of violence is something that stays with me and motivates everything I do.

Every workshop, every conversation and every project is driven by the same goal. To support, empower and protect young people and to give them the tools to make positive choices for their lives.

Thank you to everyone who supports Blades Down, believes in the work and stands alongside us. This is only possible because people care enough to be part of the change.

Poppy is becoming a teenager in 2 weeks. We want to make it a very special birthday and thought if anyone would like to send a message to her we can make a birthday video for her. Cant believe she is NEARLY 13!!

I think alot of people dont understand chronic pain and how it can effect so much. I know there are people who are in Poppys life who dont understand this, who think what you cant see doesnt matter, but it does. Invisible doesnt mean not real!

Happy New Year. Today Poppy was the 1st of 2026 to donate a Bleed Control Bag to Blades Down CIC . So far she in just over a year she has donated 11 bag. Her aim is the donate another two in the next 3 weeks to make is 13 as she will be 13 on the 25th of January.

School finished for 2 weeks and the sigh of relief from Pops and the smiles at the thought of no school, no pressure and no feeling anxious before and after school is beautiful to see. We hope everyone has an amazing Christmas and a happy healthy New Year. 🫶
