⚠️ Medicines recall: Sertraline 100mg Film-Coated Tablets (Amarox Limited)

One batch of Sertraline 100mg film-coated tablets is being recalled as a precaution after a manufacturing error.

This follows a patient complaint which identified that a pack of Sertraline 100mg tablets (Batch V2500425) incorrectly contained blister strips of Citalopram 40mg film-coated tablets inside the sealed carton.

If you take Sertraline 100mg, check the packaging of your medicine for batch number V2500425. If your pack contains blister strips labelled "Citalopram 40mg", contact your pharmacy as soon as possible.

Both sertraline and citalopram are antidepressants from the same medicine family (SSRIs). Patients who have accidentally taken citalopram instead of - or as well as - sertraline may experience some heightened side effects, including nausea, headache, sleep changes, and mild anxiety.

If you have concerns about your medication or experience any suspected side effects, speak to your pharmacist or another healthcare professional. Patients and healthcare professionals can also report suspected side effects via our Yellow Card scheme.

We have a lot of prescriptions sitting from over the Easter holidays still, if you able to pop down over the next couple of days to collect it would free up some space for new prescriptions.

If you would like to be set up for a Text Message and we can text you when we have a prescription ready, just tell one of the girls at the front desk and we can set you up.

We also have the pharmaself machine. This is a 24 hour pick up. Which allows you to pick up your prescription at a time that suits you. If you would like more information on this service, pop in and speak to one of the team.

For those people who are housebound or struggling to get about we have the free delivery service. For this service we would need somebody at home to be able to sign for the medication.

Massive congratulations to Ruby Edwards who passed her ACPT exam and is now fully qualified as a checker.This is the highest qualification a dispenser can achieve and she will be a great asset to our checking team. Such a big achievement for Ruby and im honestly so proud of how far she has come over the last couple of years. Well done Ruby from us all 🥰🥰🥰
