Big Thank you to Buchan community support team for helping us get some deliveries out today expecially Davie for driving John around to try and get to our most vulnerable patients.

Deliveries at the moment are our biggest issue we are really struggling to keep on top of them and the longer this goes on the more everyone's medication becomes a priority. Please if you can get down for it or have friends and neighbours that can pick up for you it would be a massive help. Also please remember if you cant get out because of your road we will not be able to get in. We have seen some fantastic community spirit over the last few days but also seen a not so good side to people which is disappointing. Our delivery drivers are doing everything they can to get to you so please be patient with them and the team if you are phoning.

Lastly I want to do a massive shout out to my team, who have turned up everyday either on foot or driving in not great conditions to keep us open. They have dealt with stock not arriving, prescription piles that would fear you , sorting out deliveries and phoning patients to check in on them, putting up with a front door that has decided not to work and feels more like a warehouse than a shop. So Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your effort, I know you are all tired mentally and physically and praying for Friday 6pm

Just want to say a massive thank you to COTAG 4x4 Response for the help they have given us over the last couple of days. With there help we have managed to get prescriptions to our most vulnerable patients and Mike has also enjoyed having someone drive him around 🤣🤣🤣

Big thank you to everyone who came in for neighbours prescriptions and checking in on us to make sure we were ok and for clearing the front of our shop while waiting for there own prescriptions and to the lovely people who got in touch to offer there help.

Ellon is an absolute fantastic community and I love how everyone pulls together to help each other 🥰🥰🥰

Hopefully we can all get back to normal over the next few days as there cant be anymore snow left to fall xx

Opening hours for tomorrow 9-6

We have a local pharmacist coming in tomorrow alongside our regular pharmacist who will be coming from outside Ellon, so we will be able to operate 9 until 6 tomorrow knowing we have a pharmacist working who lives in Ellon.

Staff wise we should be ok but I may need to send staff home early throughout the day weather depending. Which might affect speed in branch.

Deliveries again will depend on how the roads are, we received some amazing help from COTAG 4x4 Response today meaning we managed to get a lot of urgent prescriptions out to our most vulnerable patients but as you can imagine we will start to get a backlog of deliveries very quickly so please if you can help out at all by coming in for your prescriptions if it's safe to do, or phone us if you're able to wait for your prescriptions so we can prioritise those that do need x

Appointments should go as planned tomorrow if our regular pharmacist makes it in. We will phone you if there are any changes.

I'm so sorry we had to close early today, it's a decision I really don't take lightly but the safety of my team has to be my top priority.

As always I will keep everyone updated on here with any changes. But fingers crossed for a better day and I don't have to get dug out of the staff car park 🤣🤣🤣

Unfortunately I have had to make the decision to close at 2pm today, so I can get everyone home safely. If you are meant to pick your prescription up today please make sure you are in before 2pm

Plan for tomorrow with the snow. We have enough local staff who can get into the branch safely so we will be open at 9am and plan to stay open until 6 but we may be short staffed so things could take a little longer.

Deliveries are probably going to be our biggest issue and we will probably have to run on emergency deliveries only. We will get medication boxes out first thing and then we will have to take it from there. If your desperate for medication and normally a delivery please give us a phone so we can try and prioritise. If you have a 4x4 and can get to us safely please come in to pick your medication or for neighbours.

If you have an appointment booked with us tomorrow and you don't feel like you can get in please feel free to re arrange either by phoning us or going online to change dates

Due to the severe weather we will be closing at 3pm today to allow staff to get home before it gets dark. If you are due to pick up medication today please make sure you arrive before 3pm.

For Health and medication advice NHS 111 is also available.

An amazing achievement by Ruby Edwards and Charley Carrol who both completed there Pharmacy Technician course. They started their course together two years ago and today they both received their certificates. So proud of you girls, you have supported each other all the way through and your hard work has paid off 🥰🥰
