What’s that you say? CRUFTS now just ONE WEEK away??
Time to tackle those last minute areas such as teeth, nails, coat and furnishings to ensure you are at the top of your game. And what about what YOU need? For you it’s time to check:
Download your passes
(Don’t want to panic last minute)
Check what time you’re on
(Some breeds with higher entry numbers start earlier … you don’t want to miss your class)
Keep your removal orders handy
(You’ll need your removal orders to go outside to toilet your dog as well as to leave the site at the end of the day - no removal order, no exit! Keep it in your pocket or tucked in your bra incase you need to do a quick last minute sprint for them to p*e before your class)
Check which ring/hall you’re in
(Know where you are going when you’re dragging all your gear)
Pay for your parking on line
(In advance will save you a fiver)
Obviously consider what bait you need to buy or make
(So you’re not preparing it at midnight the night before)
Clean your show shoes
(Don’t let YOUR appearance let your dog down)
Dig out your sports bra
(Keep those “puppies” under control!)
Consider paw spray
(The green carpet can be slippery, especially for large Breed dogs, so show spray for their feet can help if they need extra confidence)
Pack your paracetamol
(I guarantee you’ll get a head ache)
Wear layers
(It’s always too hot or too cold!)
Pack your confidence, your smile and remember to breathe
(You qualified your dog for the biggest dog show on the planet - congratulations, you did it!)
At the end of the day, it’s just another dog show at which to make memories with your furry companion … (and you WILL be taking the BEST DOG home with you irrespective of any ribbons you do or don’t manage to win)
Lots of love
