Just three in the barn this evening but what a super session. 👌
This evening we looked at eye contact - without asking for it with a cue or luring with food - just waiting for the dog to offer the behaviour for themselves and then marking it with a food reward. Very quickly the collateral impact made itself known as all three dogs began offering fixed eye contact with rigid stacks, no shuffling, and uber focus. Whether in a line up or at the end after a gaiting pattern, all three consistently walked into their beautiful 4-square freestanding positions, and held it! Just wow. I knew this would pay dividends but I had no idea how quickly and how consistently they’d hit their marks. Bravo guys, amazing. Here’s a pic of Lisa and Horace demonstrating that collateral focus.
