At Bridge House, residents, relatives, and staff donned their home-made bonnets and rabbit ears, and got together to celebrate Easter.

The party kicked off with an Easter egg hunt, where little ones, residents and their loved ones raced to find the chocolate eggs hidden around the lounges and garden patio. After a cheeky nibble on chocolate, we gathered for some good food and a chat, before our live music started. Everyone was happily singing along, dancing in chairs to songs with Bluebell the singer.

A great day was spent together as families and it was a lovely way to kick off the Easter week.

Prior to our Easter party, we got stuck in and made some bonnet hats. With More...Creativity and a little help, we used glue, card, tissue paper, and embellishments to place and stick chicks, rabbits, lambs, flowers, bees and butterflies to make our individual hats.

It was so lovely to see what residents came up with and how they expressed their personality through their bonnets.

We took in plenty More...Fresh Air, when we recently embarked on a trip to Bird World in Farnham. Residents spent the morning observing all the different birds (one resident made a feathered friend!), learning about Bird World's efforts in Biodiversity, and even saw a Dinosaur or two...

Residents had a really lovely day out and enjoyed every moment - from the journey there, to the journey back.

We are continuing to celebrate 'More... Culture' with residents, relatives and staff at Bridge House taking part in Holi, the Indian Festival of Colours. We went around, spreading brightly coloured powder called gulal, to represent joy and new beginnings as we face the end of winter.
