Ely Cathedral Christmas Gift & Food Fair 2025 ✨✨✨

Wow! Still completely blown away, how has it been a week already since this wonderful event began?! Just the most magical time with some fabulously festive memories made 🤩

So many wonderful people stopped by our little stall, some familiar faces, some new, some fellow exhibitors! Whether for a browse, a giggle or to shop.. we are so grateful to each and every one of you who shopped small and supported us.. along with all the other amazing small businesses at the Cathedral this year! 🥰

Thank you so much to Mama Bumble for being my amazing sales assistant and helping me behind my stall every day! She labelled and packed so much stock, learnt how to take payments, perfected the spiel and always had a smile on her face! 😘 Another massive thank you to Papa Bumble for all of his help setting up, ferrying us to and from the fair, dropping off supplies when we sold out, helping us pack away and most importantly for braving the weather and feeding my pony boy every day! You are both stars and I couldn’t of done it all without you 💖

Lastly, a huge thank you to the amazing events team and staff at for making this year one to remember! 🎠🎡

POV: You find us at the Gift & Food Fair ✨✨✨

This magical fair kick started yesterday evening with the preview event and in just 2 hours we met so many wonderful folk! Today was day 2, the first full day.. and what a day it was 🤗 Again so many lovely familiar and new faces.. lots of heart warming chats, smiles and laughs were had! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by 😍

Day 3 tomorrow and it’s a big one ✨ Find us inside the Cathedral down the right hand side as you come in, under the arches!

We’ll be there to welcome you from 9.30am until 8.30pm (with a small stop gap between 4.30-6.30pm) 🤗

The morning and evening slots have sold out! However, I believe there is still some tickets still available for the mid afternoon slot 1pm til 4.30pm! Pop over the Ely Cathedrals website to book 🎟️

Saturday has also sold out 🤩 So to all of you that have purchased tickets, thank you so much for supporting our beautiful Cathedral and all of the wonderful small businesses that have filled it for this magical event 🎄

If you haven’t managed to book a slot don’t fear, you can still visit lots of incredible traders in the craft tent and food village outside 🎪 Outside is open all day and free to enter! You can’t miss the show stopping ferris wheel and carrousel either! 🎠🎡

Huge shout out and thanks to Mama and Papa Bumble who have been such a huge help in the lead up to the event! As well as helping out on the stall, looking after my little pony boy for me and helping to ferry around all of my stock, plus much more! You’re both the best, couldn’t of managed without you 🤍

Extra shout to our family friend Malcolm who works at the Stained Glass museum, not only does he do all of my CLP labels and leaflet printing! But also keeps us supplied with coffee when we can’t leave the stall ☕️

I know my seasonal diary isn’t quite as hectic as last year.. as many of you lovely lot know I also work part time as a vet nurse. This time last year I was a locum and choosing my own hours, so I was able to fit a lot more festive fun in! This year I’m afraid I’ve had to dial it down to be able to cope with the work load.. BUT the events I have in the diary are some pretty special ones! 😍

How to achieve the perfect BURN ✨✨✨

There are three reasons why a candle won’t burn correctly..
~Wrong wick to container ratio
~Wrong wax to oil ratio
~Poor candle care!

Did you know candles need caring for too? 💁🏼‍♀️
Our candles have been designed and hand poured to burn perfectly, just like this one here!

What is a perfect burn? 😍
We expect the melt pool to reach the edge of the glass each time and burn evenly all the way down, no black smoke marks and no smoking once lit!

How to achieve the perfect burn is simple, just follow these three steps 🤗

1. Soy wax has a ‘memory’ and may only achieve a melt pool to where the candle was last blown out. To avoid tunnelling, ensure you allow your candles melt pool to get to the edge of the glass every time before blowing out! Our wicks are the correct size for the container and WILL achieve this. Same goes for our large triple wick candles! ✨

2. Trim that wick ✂️ at every burn! Trimming between burns means you’re lighting a fresh section of wick each time, which will avoid blackening of the glass/smokiness when first lit. I will be providing CANDLE CARE KITS in 2026 🤩 But in the mean time, a wick trimmer can easily be purchased online!

3. Keep away from draughty areas, constant gusts will adjust the wicks burning profile and it won’t perform to its full potential. It’s also unsafe! Our garden candles however, are designed to be lit outside and have a stronger wick 💨

Always pottering behind the stall 😅✨

Loving being back at the glorious today! So many of my lovely regulars have already popped by to say hello 🥹 forever grateful for your continued support!

You’ll likely see me doing many of of these little odd jobs, I like to keep busy.. especially when it’s so cold! Trying to tie a bow with numb fingers is no joke 😂🥶
