'Soft Tissue Therapy' is a relatively new term to the industry, and as such isn't as widely recognised as terms such as sports massage or physio. So, what is it?
Soft tissue therapy is exactly what it says on the tin. It is therapy for the soft tissues of the body. These include muscle, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and fascia. Soft tissue therapy utilises a wide range of techniques, including remedial sports massage, to prevent new and recurring injuries, to treat Injuries and aid the healing process, to reduce pain and restricted movement, and to increase mobility and improve performance.
So who is it for?
EVERYONE!!
There is no limit to who can benefit from soft tissue therapy. Whether you are a sports person looking to improve performance or recover from injury, or you suffer neck pain from too much time at your desk, soft tissue therapy can help.
And remember, it doesn't have to be a new issue. Just because you have become used to having that pain in your shoulder for the past few years doesn't mean it can't be fixed. Old or new, pain shouldn't be the default, and soft tissue therapy could be the solution.
