Speak to your GP practice if you have not been contacted to get the pneumococcal vaccine, but you think you are eligible.

The Met Office has issued an Amber warning for heavy rain leading to flooding in this area today.

Heavy downpours are already causing a lot of surface water on roads and rain is expected to continue today and into Saturday.

Please be careful out there and take more time for your journey if you need to travel.
Here are steps you can take to prepare yourself, your home and your family.
✅ Check your insurance cover for flooding and make a list of important contact numbers.
✅ Prepare a flood kit of essential items, e.g warm clothing and blankets, bottled water, battery powered radio, mobile phone, non-perishable food, medication.
✅ Know how to turn off gas, electricity and water supplies.
✅ Move important or sentimental items to safety and think about what else you would move to safety during a flood e.g. pets, furniture, electrical equipment, car.

For more flooding advice on flooding visit www.cpprepared.org.uk/severe-weather/prepare-for-flooding/ and UK weather warnings - Met Office
