The East of England Cancer Alliance is recruiting a new Co Chair for its Patient Partnership Group.

This is a great opportunity to help shape cancer services across the region, and ensure local people's voices are heard.

The role is open to anyone with lived experience of cancer, either their own, or that of somebody they care about. Further details on how to apply are in the post below.

East of England Cancer Alliance

Now open - applicants wanted for the role of co-chair for our patient partnership group (PPG).

If you or someone you know, would like to make a difference to cancer services in the East of England, we are looking for someone to fill the role of co-chair of our Patient Partnership Group.

You may already be a member of a patient group and want to step up into a leading role or have no prior experience of being in a patient group, but feel committed to working with us to improve cancer services across the East of England.

The group works in partnership with the East of England Cancer Alliance to improve services in the region. Applicants need to have personal experience of cancer, either their own, or someone they care about.

Commitment involves attending at least one PPG meeting a month (held virtually via Teams), as well as the quarterly Regional Cancer Board. With potential to take part in other projects.

As well as the Patient Partnership Group meetings there are other meetings each month that you will be asked to attend. The level of your involvement can be flexible.

If you are interested please email cpicb.eoecancerallianceteam@nhs.net to have an informal chat with our current co-chairs, or complete the expression of interest form available at: www.canceralliance.co.uk/news/new-opportunity-help-lead-our-patient-group

MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.
