Even though I have been here a year now I am still discovering new places. The country park pictured below I discovered only last week and will definitely be going back.

We're moving into summer which is naturally a more expansive time, my clinic is growing into a familiar shape and my boys are taking exams. Our lives are mirroring the season and a comfortable rhythm is forming.

As I sat down to write my blog it was an opportunity to reflect on how this run-down house has become a home and how I am navigating the exam season we are currently in.

What a beautiful class The Pole Shed yesterday we had a great conversation about the all important art of pottering. It is a very overlooked activity that not only helps to reset our nervous system but has the added bonus of sorting all those small but distracting tasks in our environment.

Three beautiful souls chose to spend their bank holiday Sunday morning with me.

As well as our nervous system reset and deep rest in the hammocks we explored how to connect to your body's own innate wisdom. Your intuitive yes and your intuitive no.

Every single person in the room experienced it. Felt it in real time in their own body.

That moment when someone discovers their body has been communicating with them all along and they just needed to slow down enough to hear it.....there are no words for that.

My son turned 21 this week.

The night before I found myself in a place I thought I'd left behind and it reminded me that our bodies remember things our minds think they've moved on from.

I don't usually share this story but it felt important. If you've ever experienced birth trauma or found that certain times of year bring something unexpected to the surface this blog post might resonate.

Yesterday I taught my first Rest, Restore and Rebalance class at the incredible The Pole Shed in Ely and it felt like coming home.

This class is something I've been building toward for a long time, even when I didn't know it.

It brings together everything years of martial arts, yoga and aerial training, somatic understanding, nervous system work, hypnotherapy, women's circles, and the kind of deep human knowledge you only get from raising neurodivergent children and supporting parents through the home education journey I took myself.

Yesterday two women came and gave me their time and trust.
I'm grateful.

Earlier this week I shared how coming back into sessions helps me feel more regulated and back in rhythm.

What I’ve also noticed over the last few days is that it doesn’t mean everything suddenly feels easy.

I’ve still had moments of feeling tired and a bit out of sync in my body. I’m very aware of how much things like food, rest and routine really affect me.

The difference now is that I notice it sooner and I can reset back to what serves me.

I’m also much kinder to myself. There was a time when I internally berated myself, thinking that would help… it didn’t.

Now I come back to what I know works.
I don’t spiral in the same way.
I’ve become my own cheerleader and that’s been a game changer.

It’s not about getting everything “perfect.”
It’s about having a way to return to yourself even when things feel off.
And over time that makes all the difference 😊

I always notice how much I enjoy coming back into sessions after a break. Especially after Easter or Christmas that usually involve changes to my diet and exercise too.

There’s something really regulating about being back in my clinic space again. Working this morning it felt calm and grounding.

It also seems to bring me back into a rhythm which my body really appreciates.

It’s interesting how much those small shifts make a difference to my wellbeing and perspective.
