After December's busy days, lack of routine and too much of everything in our diets, our bodies are wanting to lean back into routine and hibernate at any given opportunity! It's now time to nourish our bodies, boost our immune systems and build our energy.

Happy New Year! This year I will be focusing on gaining my qualification in Menopause Wellness Coaching as well as looking forward to seeing you all for treatments.
However I also came across this little project on Instagram from D. Michele Perry. ‘Wake Up To Wonder’ invites you to take a pause and capture a moment of wonder in your day on an inch square tile of paper to build a year of wonder! "Creating a little space for yourself..."
At this busy time of year with so much to think about, it can all be a little overwhelming. Creating a small space of time for you will help bring your awareness back to you, check in with yourself, acknowledge those feelings and let them go, just for now.

If you have longer, book in for a restorative treatment, a 30 minute Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage to clear the mind or even just a 20 minute Reiki session will help you to centre yourself and let go of any unwanted negative energies, bringing you back into balance to help you through the busy days ahead.

Hi, it's Menopause awareness day today!
As many of you know I am currently studying for my Level 3 Menopause Wellness Coaching qualification.
Coming to the end of my first module in Nutrition, I have learn't so much already, primarily on how important it is to enjoy a good, varied, balanced diet and increasing your uptake of fibre and protein along with good fats and carbohydrates. This helps to balance blood sugars, which in turn supports body systems and hormone regulation.
When blood sugars are destabilised and spike, it causes stress in the body, the hormone insulin is released and our body is unable to burn fat as efficiently. Spikes lead to an equal drop, this rollercoaster over time results in inflammation, cravings and weight gain.
Eating regularly every 3-4 hours and starting the day with a breakfast of protein, healthy fats and carbohydrates fuels your mornings ensuring you have the energy to get through til lunch.
If we can help minimise stress responses in the body, then dealing with menopause symptoms becomes more manageable, we may even experience less of them!
Keeping the body balanced nutritionally is key, a few little changes and really thinking about our food choices can make positive change.

As summer transitions into autumn we can often feel lethargic and apprehensive which can lead to anxiety. Create a little time for yourself to help shake off these feelings and bring a little more energy in.
