🍂 On a grey day, the woods welcomed us with it’s colourful array of cosy brown and yellow leaves. We found our autumn wooden discs, made autumn shakers, sang together and listened to a wonderful rendition of ‘Room on the Broom’ by Rachel and her little one. Thank you for joining us! 💚🌿🐸

🍂 Forest Froggies will be back from Friday the 7th of November to the 19th of December. Please note: there will be no session on Friday 21st of November.

🍂The sessions run from 1.30-2.30pm and are £5 per child. £10 for families with two or more children.

🍂 Come and join us as we notice the changing seasons and enjoy time well spent together in the woods. 💚🌿🐸

💓After my site check this morning, I was admiring the changing colours of the leaves and a dragonfly came to rest on my coat for a while. What a blessing! 💓

🍂 On a windy day, we were grateful for the shelter the trees provided for us. Autumn has definitely arrived. The woodland floor is covered with brown leaves and when we look up at the tree canopy the leaves are turning yellow. There were lots of crunchy leaves to play with and we had fun threading them onto pipe cleaners to make caterpillars.

🍂Thank you for joining us! There’s no session next week, but we’ll be back after half term. Please remember to bring a cup (with a lid) if you’d like a hot drink. 💚🌿🐸

🍂🪔 Today we celebrated Diwali through singing, storytelling and painting colourful pictures.

🍂🪔 Many of our little ones were in need of a nap or had just woken up from a nap and the gentle welcome of the trees gave us the sense of calm we needed.

🍂🪔 The woodland floor is covered in crisp leaves from the oak and ash trees and crunchy acorns, inviting our feet to explore.

🍂🪔 Thank you for joining us! Please remember to bring a cup with a lid to our next session if you’d like a hot drink. 💚🌿🐸

💚💚💚 Happy Forest School Day 💚💚💚

I’d like to share a few images of beauty in our natural world with you that I’ve taken this week. This week I have felt particularly overwhelmed, exhausted, depleted… and in those moments of noticing the beauty of nature I have also felt grounded, calm and the ability to breathe more freely. I feel gratitude for this wonderful world we live in.

🍂The colours of autumn are starting to let themselves show in the woods this week. We certainly had fun making our own colourful paintings with conkers; singing together in the log circle and enjoying being in each other’s company. Thank you for joining us and hopefully we can welcome you to the woods next Friday. 💚🌿🐸

🍂 After singing in the rain with our rythmn sticks, we decided to go on a wander in the woods today to see what autumn treasures we could find…

🍂Little fingers felt the rough bark of the oak trees and collected their fallen leaves and acorns. Great opportunity to identify the biggest and smallest leaves and sticks we found too.

🍂Our treasures were presented to our resident squirrel. I think he was very grateful to be handfed acorns.
