🍂 Forest Froggies will be back from Friday the 12th of September to the 24th of October. The sessions run from 1.30-2.30pm and are £5 per child. £10 for families with two or more children.

🍂 We welcomed autumn with songs and story telling; observed a shield bug that came to play with us; explored the different sounds and textures of dry leaves and conkers and enjoyed time well spent together.

🌿We prepared for rain, but the sun shone unexpectedly for our final family session of the holidays. We sang around, decorated and played with our chosen oak tree - King of the summer! We were creative with playdoh, explored the woods, discovered woodlice, wondered about the woodpecker hole, visited the fairy kingdom, enjoyed each other’s company, celebrated an anniversary and were treated to yummy cakes!

🌿We’ll be back again on the 12 September. If you’d like to join our Forest Froggies Family then please do get in touch. We have spaces for next term. Looking forward to welcoming you into the woods! 💚🌿🐸

🧚‍♂️ I was foraging for sticks in the woods earlier and to my surprise stumbled across new fairies making themselves at home in the Fairy Kingdom!

🧚‍♂️It seems there’s been some activity around the woodpecker hole too!

🌿We enjoyed a magical family session today. The trees seemed to hold space for us to play, chat and spend time together. It’s always lovely in these sessions to see how the older children support the younger ones in their play. We’ll be back on 29 August - hopefully see you then! 💚🌿🐸

🌿We were so grateful for the shade and cooler temperatures that the woods provided this afternoon. We chilled on the blankets with cool water and a treasure basket to explore along with our book and teddy baskets. Then we decided to go for a stroll to find more natural treasures. Some discoveries were too big to fit in our basket! So some sticks were added to the fire circle and others put in the den. We also noticed a bumblebee and speckled wood butterflies! 🌿We enjoyed a gloriously muddy session yesterday. It’s lovely how inclusive mud is and how it invites everyone to play with it as they wish. Some wanted to turn it into soup, others wanted to paint with it, walk in it barefoot and even make icecreams out of it.

🌿We also celebrated a birthday with cooling ice lollies and a willow crown for the birthday queen.

🌿And as always, we noticed nature as it seemed to join us in our play. 🐝 🐞
