Resting because of injury…
then returning at the same intensity.

Pain settling doesn’t mean your body is ready for the demands of running again.

Rest reduces symptoms — it doesn’t rebuild load tolerance.

That’s why so many runners end up stuck in the same injury cycle.

Smart rehab isn’t about stopping completely.
It’s about rebuilding gradually and and deliberately

I’m currently delivering workplace wellness session’s at local businesses. These consist of advice on ergonomics, stretching at work, and reducing injury risk, helping teams stay comfortable, productive, and pain-free.

Alongside workplace talks, I offer 1-to-1 assessments looking at posture, range of movement, and how your body is functioning, followed by tailored treatment and exercise advice.

A sudden jump in activity, combined with poor preparation and recovery, is one of the biggest reasons I see injuries this time of year.

The good news? Most January injuries are preventable with the right approach.

But jumping straight into exercise without preparing your body is one of the biggest reasons injuries happen.

Prehab is easier than rehab.
A little work on mobility, strength, and movement now can save you weeks (or months) dealing with pain later.

Recovery is where progress actually happens.

Training, work, and everyday life all place stress on the body — recovery allows tissues to repair, movement to reset, and tension to reduce so you can keep doing what you enjoy without pain building up.

What works for one person won’t work for everyone.
Recovery needs to match your body, your workload, and your goals — and that’s where individual assessment really helps.

If pain, stiffness, or recurring niggles keep showing up, it’s often a sign your recovery needs a bit more attention.
